Sixth versus Second

[member="Xardus Folidaar"]

Zavzen sat in the captains seat of the Eternal Saviour, his holographic Master to his left and HAELI the AI to his right. "HAELI, run full mental scan. See if the trance helped." He ordered his loyal friend and companion. After a few seconds she replied to his order, "I'm sorry, sir," she began, he voice almost dripping in sympathy, "the parietal region and ventral pathway of your brain continue to show decreases in synapse flares. You are continuing to lose the concept of reality, the illness is in full effect still."

Zavzen sighed as he leant forwards, running a hand through his hair and turned his head to the left to face the image of a long dead Je'daii, "The healing trance couldn't cure this." He said in a defeated voice, "Your right Ketu, this is an affliction of the Force. Do you have anything in your records?" Ketu's image flickered slightly before he replied, "I have faint mentions of something called Force Psychosis but the records are badly damaged, I will strive to fix them. I have looked through the Holonet though and found references to something called Black Harvest. I would recommend looking into it." The hologram flickered again before fading from view while the lights on the holocron blinked off.

Again Zavzen turned to HAELI. "Please bring up all mentions of Black Harvest for me, my dear. I need to rest. Would you be willing to compile a cliff-notes version for me and set course for the source of the event?" The question was asked over his shoulder as he staggered towards his cabin, despite for sleep. He barely heard HAELI shout after him, "Sure, leave all the work for little old me. Go jump out a space lock." Jokingly before she vanished from view also to go and complete the task her maker, friend and leader had asked her to do.

Meanwhile, the silent swamps of Dagobah roared to life when a small fighter entered its atmosphere. Once the ship set down in a small marsh, the engine cut out, and a hooded figure stepped out. Strapped to his back was a sword, and a belt surrounded his waist, complete with a few each of smoke and flash grenades. Walking around, the man slowly made his way through the trees, batting away the shrubs and small critters that came at him. Eventually, he would find himself at the entrance to an old building. Then the memories kicked in.

Zavzen awoke 30 minuets later to an constant beeping from the Holoterminal next to his bed. As soon as he awoke the 5' 2" image of HAELI appeared. "We are entering the atmosphere of Dagobah, sir. The cliff notes has been sent to your datapad for you to read while we approach." The image of the woman disappeared for a moment before reappearing. "Oh, and if your not up in the next minuet I'll be forced to resort to drastic measures" She said before disappearing again. Zavzen's faced paled when he comprehended what she had said and he stopped trying to return to sleep. He remembered what she had done last time, it had taken days for his headache to go.

Jumping out of bed he pulled on his clothes and scooped up the datapad on his desk before sweeping out of the room, heading for one of the chairs next to the exit ramp. As he sat there, waiting for HEALI to inform him of their landing, he read through the information on the Dark Harvest and the deeds of Magnus. It was interesting, he supposed, on the skill of Magnus to do such a thing and how much it seemed to relate to his problem.

A few minuets later he felt a short shock run through the Corvette before the image of HAELI's face appeared on the datapad. "We're here. I landed close to the laboratory mentioned in the report." She said before the image was replaced by the data he had been scrolling through. Standing up he popped his back before Zavzen said aloud, knowing HAELI would pick it up, "A wonderful job as always, my dear." Turning he walked down the ramp and onto the planet.

All around him was a low-set fog that was only breached by land and trees. From the sound of things there was swamp covering the area. Opening himself to the Force he sensed no living but small animals and the large Force presence near by. Looking in the direction of the presence he saw a building, likely the laboratory he was interested in. He set off for the building, hoping he would find something that would help him with his illness.

Upon walking up to the doors, they opened automatically, though they creaked loudly, as if covered in rust, which they probably were. Stepping in, Xardus looked around. No lights came on, so he ignited his hand in flames. A few flashes of memory came, each stronger than the last. A barred door to his left was visible, claw marks embedded into the metal. He remembered being taken. The suffocating feeling he felt. The Jedi...

"Xardus!"
Stumbling for a second, he hand hit the wall; the flames spreading thin. What had happened to him here? What was he doing with those people? Images. A Jedi, young, yet strong. A Sith in full armor. A droid with a lightsaber that gave off strong ripples in the light side of the force. There were many of them, united by the hope of survival. Looking ahead, the room split off to the right. He followed the trail...

Zavzen approached the building slowly, keeping track of the presence he felt. The rusted doors forced themselves to open as he approached, obviously automated. Stepping over the threshold he looked around, staring at all the broken and ruined equipment. Pushing himself forwards he used the Force to clear a path in front of him, making it easier for him to walk. He followed the presence he felt, more curious about it than finding help for his illness.

It took him a while to enter the same room as the presence as it seemed to moving through the building at a fast pace, he followed it through many turns throughout the building - getting lost a few time - before following it to the top floor by the use of an elevator. This speed was surprising for him when he saw who he had been tracking. A man, in what Zavzen predicted to be his early thirties, was staggering around the room, muttering to himself, one hand clutching his head. The man was wearing a cloak, on his back was a sword and on his belt grenades were strapped.

Stepping forwards, Zavzen entered the room and spoke up, "You okay, friend?"

Xardus wandered out of the elevator, and looked around. It looked like a struggle had taken place, though it had happened several years earlier. Down the hallway was a sort of control room, though everything was powered off. Touching the wall next to him, he instantly stumbled down as a wave of memory hit him. The visions of his allies being attacked by the vicious red monster echoed inside his head over and over, resonating within his skull. As soon as he looked up, he didn't see a lone zabrak, but the monster itself. His face set in determination. Suddenly, he was twenty-three again. Grabbing his sword, he settled it in front of him in his old Juyo stance, though he saw his orange saber instead of a sword. He was reliving that horrible day. Xardus's allies screamed for help. His head swiveled back as the Sith was thrown back against the wall. Letting out a primal scream, he ran at the monster, his hood drawing back and his cloak ripping itself off. Doing a quick flip to avoid what he saw as a tentacle, he slashed at the enemy's body three times in succession. A crazed look shone in his eyes. He would fight to the death.

Zavzen was surprised by the feral scream that escaped from the man's mouth as well as the sudden aggression. Seeing the attacks coming for his torso, he executed a Sai dodge, flipping over the attacks as he also went backwards. As he landed he threw out his hand, releasing a Force Push. He grabbed as many objects as he could and flung them at the man as he shed his cloak, letting it fall to the floor. Withdrawing Saviour from it's sheath he ran at the man, letting the sword run against the ground. When he got close he dropped low and executed a Jung Ma attack, aiming to hit at the knees. He the threw his weight backwards to fall onto his back and used a Force Jump, letting the blast of Force propel him away as well as hit the opponent. Flipping back to his feet, he settled into the ready stance of Niman. His right arm was down by his side while Saviour was pointed down and back, his left hand was resting on the hilt of Reaper in a reverse grip. His feet were close together, perpendicular, with the right foot in front and pointed towards the man he was fighting.

Xardus fought with all of his might, never blocking, but parrying any attack he received to the left or right. When the ooze seemed to vault over him, he turned in confusion. "What the hell?" Even though he was sure he was fighting Magnus, he remembered that it never did anything like that. So what was going on? Shaking it off, combat mode sunk back in. Rushing the monster once again, he brought his knee in, the sent an uppercut with his blade to what he could only assume was the ugly mass of facial features of the thing.

As the uppercut from the blade came towards his face he executed a Su defence, using Saviour to bite into the sword and swung it around clockwise, using the spin to gain momentum. When the blades reached the peak he pushed upwards with Saviour aiming to unbalance the man as well as open up the torso. He quickly drew Reaper to slash as the torso before sheathing it again. He then released a Force Push, sending the man flying. He then drew Reaper again, this time in a forward grip. Running forwards Zavzen used Sai to get into the air while gaining ground, avoiding any strike the man sent his way. Coming out of the flip he slashed both swords at the man's legs using Jung Ma before using Force Jump to get behind the opponent and used Jung to turn himself around while combining it with an offensive Su. He repeated this three more times before releasing a Force Wave and retreating so that his back was to the wall on the opposite side of the room to his cloak.

Zavzen was preparing to go onto the defensive when the man would attack before finding a way to hold him down and get the answers out of him. However his gaze then landed on his cloak and he felt like he could hit himself on the head for forgetting his other weapons. Reaching out through the Force he grabbed his lightsabers from his cloak and brought them to the man's neck, frowning. "Now are you going to tell me why you were attacking me or not?" He growled out. "Cos I was being nice, checking up on you and you attack me for no good reason."
