SPECIAL FEATURES
- Suit of the Shaper: The primarily purpose of this suit is to enhance, assist and increase Cerbera's ability to conduct bio-chemical experiments and Yuuzhan Vong Shaping. Two of its limbs are Shaper-Hands, while the other two are regular ones to increase the dexterity and on-the-fly abilities to execute certain protocols. It is highly resistant against toxins and environmental effects that might occur during experiments. The wearer's affinity with Vong Sense increases exponentially while wearing it and the suit is integrated with a Qang qahsa to access important data and storage on the fly.
- Enhancement: The suit enhances the wearer in several ways: when fully deployed and immersed it increases their strength times two. Other than that it buffs stamina, reflexes, memory recollection, not unlike standard cybernetics available to the Galaxy at large.
- Flux: While the nature of the suit gives it and its wearer the ability to be Force Dead, the addition of Voxyn DNA allows them to shift out of this state. It takes several minutes to enter the Flux and become Force Dead. While taking moments to leave it and regain force sensitivity. The rules apply to both states- when Force Dead few active Force powers have any effect (except for Force Lightning), but also makes it impossible for the wielder to use the Force. When they shift out of the Force Dead state the wielder can use the Force as normal, but can also be effected by the Force in the normal ways.
- Bloodline: Unlike regular pieces of armor the suit was created and shaped through organic and genetic materials. Rather than be a piece of equipment that one must put on, it is integrated sub-dermal within Cerbera's body. This means it can be summoned by mental command. This process takes several minutes and cannot be done on the fly. Additionally these minutes make the suit and the wearer increasingly more vulnerable against Force Lightning- interference during this process can have catastrophic consequences.
- Shaping: The Skin of the Shaper is tailored specifically for the needs of the Shaper and Alchemist. It has excellent resistance against toxins, extreme environmental effects, plasma and an average resistance against lightsabers. Furthermore it enhances Cerbera's affinity to Vong Sense to increase her ability to experiment with Vong shaping and similar pursuits and is integrated with a Qang qahsa for additional information storage and access.
- Enhancement: To further increase her abilities the suit fully deployed enhances her strength twice-fold and buffs other areas in similar ways as standard cybernetics would do.
- Mobile: Rather than be forced to carry the armor around and equip it, the Skin of the Shaper is literally a second skin for the Alchemist. It is integrated sub-dermal into her body.
- Flux: When fully deployed the skin gives natural Force Deadness to its wearer. Of course, this does mean that the wearer cannot utilize any Force powers in the meantime. Through the Voxyn genetic make-up it is capable of shifting out of the Force Dead spectrum and allow the wearer to use the Force (and be normally affected through the Force).
- Deployment: It takes several minutes for the skin to fully form and shape around Cerbera. In that time both of them are highly vulnerable against attacks, if the process is successfully interrupted that could have disastrous consequences. From grievous pain to actual death depending on the severity of the situation.
- Force Lightning: Deployed or not, the skin makes Cerbera far more vulnerable to Force Lightning. A full-contact burst can cause immense pain to the skin by proxy Cerbera.
- Flux: The process of entering the Flux also takes several minutes and cannot be done on the fly. In fact, during this process everything blends together. As a consequence Cerbera is incapable of using the Force herself, while being affected by the Force herself (in a more limited way granted).
- Skin of the Shaper: It has no defenses against vacuum or sonic defenses, while having only token resistance against kinetic force and EMP attacks.
The Skin of the Shaper was created by Cerbera in the aftermath of the Soulsaber quest.
Her assistance was requested by [member="Darth Ophidia"], an individual she had come to... appreciate in her own way. Once that assistance was requested it was only natural for Cerbera to lend her hand in any way she could. The end-game unfolded during their escape on a large Yuuzhan Vong ship, where she was forced to part ways with her arm and accept escalation through integration of a Shaper-Hand as a replacement.
It was this that set her on a path of fascination to experiment and learn more about the ways of the Yuuzhan Vong with the assistance of a rogue Shaper that joined her cause.
This Skin was a milestone in that effort. A second skin that helped and enhanced Cerbera without forcing her to part ways with more limbs (she liked her own limbs, thank you very much). Made mobile by becoming a part of her own body Cerbera pushed forward the Shaping Protocols of the Yuuzhan Vong by several magnitudes. It comes with weaknesses, vulnerabilities, but the alchemist didn't particularly mind them.
She didn't believe power came for free.
This project was certainly a testament to that.
