BIOGRAPHY:

Long ago, in the dying days of the Clone Wars, a Kaminoan project called Overlord worked on modifications and attempted enhancements of the Jango Fett genome. The project was based on the results of the Null ARC program which was deemed a failure. Project Overlord produced a single viable embryo, which was grown to maturity. As the only successful result, the baby was stored in stasis to preserve the research. Later, when the Republic became the Empire, the project was moved off Kamino for security, located in a deep storage facility inside a rogue interstellar asteroid.

After the destruction of Tipoca City and the rise of the Empire, the facility was forgotten, and the asteroid drifted on until it encountered a gravitational field, and was pulled into a star system where it impacted one of the planets. Mandalorians happened across the impact and investigated strange energy readings, which led them to the stasis chamber. As luck had it, the Mandalorians who found the abandoned lab were Skirata, and descended from some of the best and brightest clones from the old Grand Army. They rescued the child and adopted him, but could not agree on a name, calling the lad Skirata. The name stuck, and he went by the cognomen alone.

Skirata's early life was a happy one. He lived and played among friends, brothers and sisters, and began to learn his people's trade. Like many Mandalorians, he was taken in as a war orphan. He saw a quick end to the happiness as he learned how horrifyingly nasty the Galaxy could be once he underwent his Verd'goten and became an adult among his people. He saw people's homes destroyed and lives ruined, and he decided that was not going to be his way. He was raised by his many uncles among Clan Skirata. He was taught to fly, and to smith beskar. He learned to cook and how to repair, how to scavenge, and how to sneak.

To earn his keep, the young Mandalorian fought alongside his clan and other Mando'ade in many battles across the Outer Rim, against pirates, Jedi, and Sith. He came to develop a hatred of Force users, and a penchant for taking them out wherever possible, developing weapons and tactics to suit this goal. He was honed into a future leader and a fine warrior by the expert training of the elders of the clan Skirata, many of whom were descended from the grand army and followed its traditions.

The young Skirata developed his own philosophies as he grew into the role of a full adult warrior. He began to design and build his own equipment, and focused his efforts on developing non-lethal solutions. Often he eschewed killing altogether unless absolutely necessary, attempting to set an example of patience and restraint to his people. Not all of the elders understood why he did this, but accepted it as his particular idiosyncracy. In these traditions, he began to build a force to protect others, in the tradition of the Mandalorian Protectors of old.

He grew to command of a small fleet of ships, a flagship; the Iron Protector, and a modern police force. He worked hard to establish his people as a reliable, trustworthy, and well-intentioned Mandalorian group in the galaxy. Fighting the good fight became his philosophy, in the right way, and at the right time, in the right places. Over time he became a competent leader, respected by the men and women under his command. Though he did not wish to overshadow his respected and revered elders, those very men and women who had raised him pushed the mantle of command toward him, placing the young Mando'ad into a role they had lovingly prepared him from birth to play.
