Strengths:
[+]Pointy Teeth: The Skraal although ugly, stupid, and quite feral have their upsides. One of these is their incredibly strong teeth. The Skraal like their smaller cousins the normal rat have incredibly strong teeth. Their teeth are dense and strong, able to bite through duracrete and even thin plates of durasteel. Though the former takes a bit of time to actually chew through.
[+]Digestive Kings: The Skraal are able to digest almost anything. From centuries living in the underground of Coruscant and from scavenging everything and anything the Skraal have learned to survive off literally anything that has even a bit of nutrient clinging to it. They regularly eat trash and other filth which would disgust most normal people, though to a Skraal its quite normal. This has also given them an amazing immunity to most pathogens, with bacteria and virus' being so incredibly abundant.
[+]Filthy Bite: Because of their awful diet and their horrible dental Hygene a Skraal's mouth is completely and utterly filled with bacterium. Though their bite is not poisonous per say, their teeth, tongue and mouth are so polluted with infectious bacteria that getting bitten by them essentially ensures an infection of the wound.
[+]Bunny Breeders: The Skraal can only be said to breed like bunnies. The creatures are able to reproduce and an alarming rate, with a male and female Skraal able to breed once and produce a litter of up to 20-30 Skraal children, with each of these children able to breed with each other. The Skraal have the potential to reproduce exponentially, though many of their kind don't make it past the first year of life given their harsh environments. This rapid growth is further kept in check by the Cthon, the rakhghoul like creatures that live in the underworld. These two species constantly fight and kill each other, thousands of Skraal dying each year due to this race.
Weaknesses:
[-]Small: Compared to many species in the galaxy, the Skraal are tiny. With most male adults only barely reaching 5 foot the Skraal can only be described as small. Its also highly unlikely for the rat people to grow bulky or muscular, with many of them having small fragile limbs with almost no muscle mass.
[-]Stupid: Many of the Skraal can only be described as stupid. They are rarely clever or smart, and a Skraal who figures out how to use a computer is considered a “genius”. This species as a whole is not intelligent, and they are certainly not meant for greatness. This also makes the species as a whole incredibly easy to manipulate. If they latch onto a powerful figure, the Skraal tend to stick with it.
[-]Cowards: The Skraal due to the diminutive size and lack of intelligence are for all intense and purposes cowards. They do not like fighting, and will only do so if they have something great to gain or vastly outnumber their victim(something that happens often). Even then however many of them have to be driven forward, pushed and forced to attack by the collective will rather than by individual choice.
[-]Cheese: Typical of them, Skraal love cheese. For some unexplained reason, Cheese to a Skraal is like crack cocaine to a humanoid. Whenever a Skraal eats cheese they become hyperactive, begin to hallucinate, and generally have a horrible time.
Distinctions:
The Skraal are similar in appearance to our Rats.
They are more humanoid than rats and stand at max at 5 feet tall. However the similarity between the two species is more than obvious. The Skraal have black skin covered entirely in usually brown fur. They have long spindly pink tails and sharp pointy teeth that look sharp enough to puncture even armor. Their eyes are beady black and always seem to be shifting about.
They look fragile and small, skittish and all too eager to run away. Skraal all in all look exactly like something you might judge to be a coward stupid species, they are the stereotype one might expect of them and only prove it so when one enters a conversation with them.

Culture:
The Skraal's culture is quite typical of the stereotype that surrounds them. They are murderers, thieves, liars, and above all scavengers.
Living in the very bottom reaches of Coruscant, the Skraal survive off of the trash and waste of the other denizens of the great city world. For centuries their culture has been dominated by whatever waste they can find, from blasters to starships the Skraal make use of it all. Those with the best salvage, generally lead the greatest horde. In fact, it is the only reason the Skraal come together. When one Skraal finds a great big piece of salvage other Skraal gather around him or her because clearly, he's doing something right.
They follow this Skraal until he either runs out of luck, or the thing he previously found wastes away into nothingness, this happens often since Skraal generally don't understand the idea of fixing things or regular maintenance. However when they are together the Skraal are at their most dangerous. When united by a single Salvage leader the Skraal grow more brave, they go further out to hunt for more salvage, and if their bands grow large enough, will even attack people.
Other than this its impossible to keep Skraal together, they are far too selfish, and far too stupid to understand the fact that sticking together, is better.
Technology level:
The Skraal as a species are technologically inferior to the whole of the galaxy. Although they use blasters, slugthrowers, and at times even lightsabers that they find, as a whole they are not smart enough to build, or even understand these weapons. If left to their own devices, the Skraal could build little more than knives and spears.
General behavior:
The general behavior of a Skraal can be described easily.
A typical day of a Skraal consists of waking up, finding salvage, eating and or using said salvage, then finding a dark place to go sleep. This is what a Skraal does, this is the only thing he understands how to do. Every once in a while however a Skraal develops the need to reproduce, at this point the Skraal seeks out a female, which given their population size is quite easy, and then they breed.
Their speech, is a form of horribly warped galactic basic. They learned to speak it long ago by a few people venturing down into the underworld. Given their intelligence however, it has greatly depreciated.
Breeding and finding salvage in order to survive are the only thing a Skraal knows how to do. Though there have been more intelligent Skraal in the past, they generally leave the Coruscant Underworld. They are smart enough to realize that there is an above life, and something better out there.
These individuals are generally terrible all around people however, with most of them being manipulative liars and thieves only looking out for themselves.
History:
Its incredibly difficult to recount the history of the Skraal, mostly because they themselves have no idea what it is, and they live so far beneath the surface of Coruscant that really only a few people know about them, much less care.
What is known is that the Skraal evolved likely from Womp Rats thousands of years ago. They have been dwelling in the deep reaches of Coruscant for countless centuries. Though most people know about them, they are generally not something anyone really thinks about. Its not because they are unpleasant or evil, but because they are so far gone from Coruscanti society.
They dwell deep down below the surface of Coruscant, were rubbish and trash if thrown and nothing is ever really recovered. There they have lived ever since gaining any semblance of intelligence. The Skraal are content with their existence, never venturing too far into the surface world, and never really seeking to improve their lot in life. Because of this, no one really ever sees Skraal nor do the Skraal ever see other people.
The few times these creatures are encountered, its usually too late for the person that see's them. A brave or particularly unlucky individual somehow makes it into the deep levels of Coruscant, Then before he can react he set upon by a pack of Skraal, they then kill him, loot his corpse, and disperse.
The only other significant thing that can be said about the Skraal is their ongoing "war" with the Cthon. These two species constantly kill each other in small battles and skirmishes, hundreds if not thousands of Skraal die each week due to the vicious nature of these creatures and it is likely the only reason the rat-men have not over run Coruscant.
Its that simple.
The few Skraal that venture out into the galaxy are generally more intelligent than their brethren. Even with some added intelligence however, they are still highly unpleasant.
