DESCRIPTION
The Skytrooper has been a staple of the Zakuul military since the inception of a proper governing body. Due to the amount of troops required by the Immortal Emperor, droids became the most logical choice for a sizeable and easily controllable military. In order to allow their emperor full control over the droids if he so wished the Skytrooper's were installed in the same network as the Eternal Fleet, allowing for the Eternal Throne to override any secondary centralized control that anyone had over the droids. In order to navigate the capital of The Spire, the droids were originally equipped with Rocket Boosters to allow them to properly navigate the distances between levels quickly and efficiently.
The Mark IV models are built with a similar purpose. They serve as the main body of Zakuul's military and act simultaneously as policing droids, keeping peace from both internal and external threats. Same as their predecessors the Mark IV is directly wired to the Eternal Throne, though they can be switched to another central control through chips in the head of the droid. The Rocket Booster have been replaced by Repulsor Packs due to efficiency reasons and as a way to move them into the future.

- R4I-S3 Repulsor Pack: The Repulsor pack is built into the back of the droids as a common addition to the soldier models in order to help them navigate the towering buildings of Zakuul. The Repulsor Technology allows for more efficient travel than either rocket boosters or jetpacks, though it has a limited amount of charges it can go further distances in one thrust. It is also quieter than most other similar products, allowing for usage in stealth missions.
- Eternal Throne Control Chip: This part of the droid is what keeps them attuned to the control of the Eternal Throne and allows for direct or indirect control over the droids, acting as an override to all other modifications to the droid. This component is not listed in markets as the Zakuul Government sees the benefit in having their droids in many parts of the galaxy. Its other usage include the collection of data by using audio and visual components, essentially allowing for it to spy upon buyers. A simple look over will reveal nothing special about the chip appearing as a superficial component, albeit one that is difficult to remove. Removal will cause no harm to the droid, and most black market sellers have already removed such chips.
- Explosive Compartment: A small compartment hidden is the right hip of the Skytroopers Mark IV allows for one explosive device, though this can be hypothetically swapped for other similarly sized devices. The compartment is 0.5 m tall and is protected by a thin sheet of the metal that covers the rest of its body, a well placed shot could set off or destroy whatever device is located in this compartment.
Strengths:
- (+) Repulsor Pack: This common component of the Skytrooper Mark IV allows for the droid to have smooth and silent movement through the air, greatly increasing the average area that an individual unit can cover. This can allow it to provide significant reconnaissance against enemy forces, and the ability to manoeuvre between various different areas with relative ease.
- (+) Easily Controlled: The Skytrooper Mark IV has a hidden control chip that is automatically set to be attached to the main control centre of the Eternal Throne, allowing for the person sitting on the throne to override the secondary chip and control a large amount of the troops. The secondary chip is automatically set to go to one of the droid control centres in Zakuul, this chip is easily accessible and can be removed and replaced by any individuals who have purchased a Skytrooper droid.
- (-) Central Communication Required: If the Skytrooper Mark IV loses its two-way communication to whatever main computer it is attached to, it will automatically set to a resting position unless manually changed to patrol mode via a control panel in its right shoulder. It can lose communication via a strong jammer, significant depth beneath ground, or the destruction of its main control hub.
- (-) Non-Sentient: Unless a significant process is done to acquire the proper ability for a Skytrooper to become sentient it is unable to act on it's own command. This prevents it from reactionary actions when in standby mode, allowing for it to be easily destroyed if not under the control of a central hub.
