Slaying Sanctuary [open]

Location: Sanctuary
Time: 2100
Objective: Burn it to the ground

One of the biggest strips on Zeltros was gone, destroyed and buried under its own rubble, thousands were dead or missing and relief efforts were still very much underway to rebuild what had been safe since the attacks of the Sith years ago. But there was nothing to be done about that anymore, now the eyes of the monster had turned to somewhere else, they turned to Sanctuary.

The planet sanctuary was a home for political refugees across the galaxy, people looking to dodge Republic, Sith, First Order, whatever kind of draft or exiled politicians, whoever needed to be kept safe from whatever dark powers or governments that would look to make them fight. This was sanctuary's purpose and its population since the age of the rebellion had gone up and down since the gulag plague, now of days it still rested comfortably at around thirty to forty thousand people spread out through the islands on the oceanic planet.

But tonight under the light of the moon the seas would turn red with the blood of the weak and innocent, they would know fear once again. For with the few millions worth of credits Dredge and his warriors made off with from Zeltros they had purchased multiple civilian transport ships, enough to form a small refugee fleet, it was the perfect camouflage to enter the planet.

"Here's what's going to happen." Dredge said as he walked back and forth in front of his men, his iron boots clanging against the metal floor.

"We're pulling down to the main space port, the graveyard crew will meet us to give us sanctuary. Kill them." he said the last two words rather coldly.

"My group will take over the space port and lock it down, I want all of you to take ships to the main islands and camps of this world and massacre them. However just enough to gain control, we will be jamming signals so that calls to the outside will be useless." Dredge then faced his men.

"I want this planet, I want these people, and I want them to fear me, because I want my revenge. They will be used in exchange for the life of master Harrison and I intend to kill him nice and slow. So do my bidding and if you fail me I will kill your families myself and serve them to you."

"Yes, Lord Dredge." The mixed warriors of Graug and Yuuzhan Vong said at once.

The "Refugee" fleet began to break off headed towards different parts of the planet, inside various ships comm jammers started to go off and block communications over camps and towns. Dredge's main transport ship touched down and soon the ramp opened to a team of smiling human faces holding gifts of food, clothing, water and other necessities.

"Kill them." a whisper sounded from within the blackened ship.

And from the darkness bolts of red light sprayed forth cutting the welcome party down where they stood. Screams of pain and loss sounded and soon dozens upon dozens of Graug and Yuuzhan Vong began to flood from out ships that landed under the guise of seeking safety.

Directorate Command Plaza - Hast

Mosses sat looking over the days news drinking a nice red he had found on Duros a few years earlier when the alert came in. The Directorate had been secretly tapping into most of the Coalitions security channels since setting up on Hast. Not to use it against their neighbor but more so as an early warning system for anything going on close by. Not alot really happened out this far, other than the constant pirate presence. That had not been much of an issue, Reshmar had kept constant patrols going in the Calamari sector and out to Hast space. The real danger on Hast was boredom, That was the battle Ray was fighting, and a constant fight it was. Hast was not known for its night life. Nor was it a particular tourist trap. It had cities and clubs and the occasional distraction but over all it was a very dull planet for someone like Ray. Today however seems like it was going to be one of those days.

The report came in and was sent up to Ray and the makeshift command staff put in place by Reshmar before he left for Mon Cala. Ray had been working for the fish for a year now and had truly been used like a errand boy more than a commander. He did not mind, the fish paid him well and he got certain perks he would not have gotten elsewhere. When he picked up the report however he knew the fish would not be happy.

"Major, Send this along to Admiral Reshmar's villa on Mon Cala. He will want this as fast as possible so label it Action needed and open me a channel to fleet command. I am sure we will need them." Said Ray as he stood and walked to the small tactical console in the corner. The head quarters had yet to be set up and this small grouping of stations and displays was all the Directorate had set up. It would work for the time being but Ray made a mental note to confiscate better equipment from somewhere next time he was out. For now it was enough. He waited for the screen to come online then looked at the image of a duro male in the new Directorate colors and smiled.

"Captain Dul, We may be needing your help."

Like a cleansing flood the Warriors rushed out into the space port, screams radiated as they fired upon people working the graveyard on the planet's darkside. And stepping down from the ramp was the malevolent Dredge himself adorned in Crimson and black armor that sent waves of darkside corruption outwards, the taint and plague of hatred and rage infested those around him fueling his men's aggression towards the innocent.

"BURN IT TO THE GROUND!!" Dredge yelled as he extended his arms.

Explosions rocked the star port as Graug set up sky fire mortars and began to rain hell down upon the instillation. Savage wraiths or Graug that had been tormented into madness charged on all fours like rabid hounds chasing down their prey, catching workers that ran from them and digging their fangs into them until hot blood splashed against the ground.

"Strike teams bravo and delta, status." Dredge said into his comm unit.

"We are hitting the towns now my lord, they have no defenses and death is ensuing. Further orders?" The man on the other end asked.

"Gather them up and place them in the town center, I want them under control now, chances are someone off world has been alerted by now. Hold them now." Dredge said quickly then marched forward to handle business.

A loud eerie bang erupted in the darkness. Blue lightning surged about a humanoid form. Flashing briefly two glowing blue eyes scanned the ally only to fade into a color that equally matched the color of his suit which was as black as deep space. If it wasn't for the lightning surging all over his body then he would be almost rendered invisible by naked eye. His visage was horrifying to look apon. The face of a demon. Everything about this monster was foreign except for three aurebesh letters that looked to be burned into his forehead.

Xan.
Sounds of pain and death filled the air finding a place to lay in Xan's ear. Taking a step back into the shadows Xan paced in the darkness to hide himself from unwanted attention. The surges of energy died and the darkness consumed him. Soon he would go to the source of this chaos.

Stepping into the space port lobby the mountain of armor looked to see a platoon of Graug huddled around a few of the stations guests, workers, and whatever drifters that were caught in the process. The monster looked down at his prisoners and smiled so his fangs would show through the shroud of blackness on his helmet.

"Orders my lord?" A Graug asked.

"Kill them." Dredge said with a pause.

"Slowly, and film it when you do. I wanna give Connor something to watch." Dredge smiled and began to walk past the group.

A few Graug dropped their rifles and unsheathed blades and as the overlord passed the group the sounds of inhuman blood curling screams could be heard.

Dredge would make his way up to the control room of the building and deal with whatever do gooders were coming his way, they were able to secure enough funds from Zeltros to transport a legion of Graug and another of Yuuzhan Vong to this planet and that meant they could very much control the low island based populace. Even as Dredge walked up the steps all around the world villages, camps, towns, they were all coming under siege from his forces to ensure that a hostage situation on a planetary scale could be made so.

This wasn't about bloodshed just for the sake of it, no if it was about that then these people would of been dead long before any help would arrive. This was about revenge, revenge for those who struck him down on Korriban.

Awoken Fleet
Kara was studying in the Pillar of Ascension's library, attempting to learn. Kara's training has been going along well, she has been learning new spells and been doing well in general. On teh holoscreen a new report came up, Sanctuary under attack, Kara listended in and apparently people were being slaughtered by the hundreds, killed without remorse. Kara hated suffering like this, she got a piece of paper and a pen and wrote a note to [member="Lady Sovereign"].

Heading to Sanctuary, took some medical supplies to go and help people. If you need me, you know where to find me. - Kara Was what the message said.

Kara took a shuttle from the bay and made her way to the planet, she would help as many people as she could, and if possible stop this before it is too late.

Sanctuary
Kara landed on the planet, a small way away from all of the destruction. Right near her landing site, there was an injured person. A human male. Kara quickly grabbed one of the first aid kits and started tending to his wounds. After she had done as much as she could she put him into the shuttle to rest. Kara's light-saber was at her side if she needed it.

After tending to the mans wounds she went out looking for whoever did this, this was unnecessary violence, that was something Kara would not tolerate.

Stepping into the control room of the space port his attack had happened like lightning, striking hard and fast with superior numbers they overran the area and were now in control of the place. Towns, villages, camps across the planet were swarmed by twenty thousand Graug and Yuuzhan Vong ships, people lay dead across the planet and while there were small pockets of unmarked camps that would flee to safety the main locations were theirs to take. This was a place of peace after all and the small guard they had was wiped away in the flood of trained warriors.

Dredge looked at the console before him and started to receive various reports that citizens were being gathered up and placed in areas such as schools, churches, town halls, anywhere that could fit a large crowd across the planet they were there being held captive. There were still pockets of resistance on the world but they would soon be dealt with.

So pressing a button the blue light of a holocam began to record dredge and the following message he had for the SSC.

"Hello Connor, it's me. Now this may not be a surprise but I'm a little hard to kill. I've taken control of Sanctuary and while I'm sure there are plenty of people on the way to stop me let it be known that if a single ship breaks atmosphere I'm going to order my men to kill the planets populace. Now this can be avoided, I want you Connor. Then when I have you I'm going to make you watch as I rip your beating heart from your chest." Dredge's fangs smiled through the shroud on his helmet and he kept going.

"This message will no doubt be broadcast throughout the galaxy, so let me say this. If Jedi Master Connor Harrison doesn't come to face me, I'm going to kill all these people. But I won't stop there, every helpless little backwater planet, every little world too small for major powers to care about. I'm going to burn them one by one until Connor gives himself and his apprentice over to me. And just so you know I'm serious." The image would cut out and it would proceed to what was filmed earlier.

Graug doing unspeakable acts of horror to the prisoners downstairs, sheer and utter butchery and sounds of screams beyond chilling. The details need not be explained, but for short it was very bad.

"If I so much as feel a presence in the force above atmosphere from a stealth ship, even the slightest disturbance I will massacre these people. You have my word all I want is Connor and his kid so I can make him watch me end him. TEN HOURS CONNOR!! YOU HAVE TEN HOURS AND THEN THESE PEOPLE DIE!!!" Dredge smashed the holocam and the message would be sent to the SSC

Meanwhile, Krux was piloting his lover and Padawan's transport toward the Ilum system, far out from Sanctum space to do much good. The bulky transport was tranquil in it's hyperspace lane, and Krux's better half was fast asleep in her quarters, recollecting herself after the sudden decision to follow Krux's guidance down the Path of the Jedi while he watched the controls.

He jumped, almost out of his chair, when the message from [member="Dredge"] started playing on the holo. He viewed it and felt anxious, sending a message to [member="Connor Harrison"] immediately.

"Connor, this is Knight Mullarus. I'm sure you just got that threatening message from our pal from Korriban, but i'm a good twelve hours out from Sanctum space taking Setzi to Ilum for training. What do you suggest we do? Should I turn back? I'd rather not, really, I don't want to put Setzi in this kind of danger so early in her training..."

I appreciate it, Dredgie, but i've got enough going on. I'll pass. Thanks for the invite though :) Perhaps another time

Cloudburner

Perfection in human form.
Cloudburner was inside his ship, trying to recollect himself. The world hated him, everybody hated him. He sat inside his chair and consumed some alcohol trying to forget.

"I failed. Everybody I ever cared for. The Entire Galaxy hates me. And I'm the one to blame."

He blacked out, appearing to be unconscious.

"YOU HAVE TEN HOURS, CONNOR, TEN HOURS!!"

He awoke to the sound of a familiar voice. One he hated, despised, wanted to kill. Of course he kept his emotions a secret, he was a Jedi after all.

He tried to contact [member="Krux Mullarus"] to see what was up.

ADM. Reshmar

Directorate Officer Fleet Admiral SJC 3rd Fleet
Deep Ocean Testing Facility, Carial Shoals, Mon Daca
Danios-class Corvette Deepstar

Reshmar sat in the fixed seat of the newest ship to come off the slips at Mon Daca Yard ten. The small vessel was a work of art more than a starship. It was state of the art Mon Calamari engineering and among the finest ships in the galaxy if not one of the most expensive for its size. The two hundred meter ship was sleek and hosted some of the most advanced redundant systems ever conceived. This made it a very formidable vessel but also made its price tag equal that of most cruisers produced through out the galaxy. The three prototypes had been sitting on the bottom of the carial shoals near Reshmar's corporate villa on Mon Cala. The testing of its systems at three kilometers deep was the final test the ships would have to endure.

"Admiral Priority transmission from Directorate Command. Labeled urgent action needed." said the calamari officer manning the communications console. The bridge was layed out much like the older cruisers from centuries ago in a semi-circle of two man consoles. Each housing a station and control center for the various elements needed for ship control. Unlike the larger vessels two officers was all that was needed for each station. Heavy redundancy and automation had been used and the Danios-class needed very little crew outside the bare minimum. Reshmar eyed the officer then spoke.

"Send it to my console lieutenant." Reshmar said with a nod then waited. The display came up with a series of text rather than any image of hologram. The entire message consisted of one sentence, Vong attack on Sanctuary. Reshmar cursed under his breath and entered in a set of codes opening up a channel to the joint communications hub the Directorate companies shared. HE keyed in his access code which would override the security which kept people from doing what he was about to do. HE waited for the communications nexus to accept his command then cleared every communications message but his.

"All Directorate holdings. Priority action authorized. All operational elements proceed to Sanctuary at best speed. Request Lucerne heavy fire operations element. All locks released. Authroization Leviathan one. Will meet you there." Reshmar stops speaking then hit transmit. Locking down the comm hub meant no other communication would go out to the Directorate hub but his. He closed the channel then opened a tactical display of the calamari sector.

"Navigations, Best speed to Sanctuary?" Reshmar asked as he looked up from his console at the man now staring at him. The officer looked down and set in some numbers and then answered.

"Three hours admiral", said the Mon Calamari officer as he double checked his calculations. Reshmar was the closest, that was for sure. He knew his Lucerne and Aurora forces were much further out. It was up to him to get there first and see just what the situation was.

"Helm set a course for Sanctuary, Have the 38th defense line meet us in orbit. I will command for here for now. Inform Commodore Lestia of such and she has secondary command from the Wave Tyrant." Reshmar finished and sit back as there was little more to do now than wait.

The ship shuttered and Reshmar could see the cavitation ripples of the ships repulsors coming online, and the release of the ballast the corvette had taken in to sink it. The ship lurched forward and popped as it released from the ocean floor. The three kilometers of water pressure pressed in on the ships like a giants fists grasping it and squeezing it. The ships speed up then burst out of the ocean like a mythical creature breaking the endless horizon of flat water and sending waves out into the distance. The Three corvettes shot up and out of the planets atmosphere heading for the larger Mon Calamari defense vessels now forming up in the distance. Reshmar sat quietly as the three minutes it took to jump from the oceans floor into space passed. He had no idea what exactly they were heading into but if anything in the message was true HE and the full force of the Directorate would face it head on.

Raymond Mosses stepped off of the shuttles ramp and onto the Deck plating of the Kingfisher. A distance away he could see Captain Dul and two other officer awaiting him. The Hanger of the Scythe-class cruiser was alive with working crews locking down the fighter and transports for the jump. Along the walls small interceptors hung on service racks being loaded out for the missions to come. To their left the three assault shuttle s sat being fueled and prepared. It was what every hanger Ray had ever been in looked like. wires, hoses, men, women. It never changed, for once he wanted to see something out of place. At least he bet he could find a good card game down here once they were under way.

"Mister Mosses, Welcome aboard the Kingfisher." said the Duro captain as Mosses approached. Mosses reached out and took his hand. The two officers flanking him were introduced as the ships executive officer and the lines wing commander. The pleasentries were short and the four men walked to the aft of the hanger to an awaiting lift.

"Captain, I have yet to hear from anyone else. After Admiral Reshmar's transmission I wrapped up the business of the day and came straight here. Has there been any other word from anyone?" Ray asked as the four men entered the lift. The men filled the small space and the door slid into place. As the lift begane to speed upwards Captain Dul answered.

"We have not." said the man with a concerned look on his face. "We know the admiral is in route but beyond that nothing. IF the data transmitted with his statment is correct his group will be there four hours before we can." at that Ray shook his head.

"He should have waited on us." Ray said as the lift stopped. The door opened to the brightly lit bridge, its clean refreshed air swept into the lift reminding Ray of the last physical he had taken on Hast. The clean room environments were all the same. Ray shook off the memory then walked onto the bridge.

"Mister Mosses you have a call." said a officer as he walked up to the group. Mosses nodded as the transmission was send to his ear com. Captain Dul stood beside him and motioned for his senior officers to go back to their duties. He looked around the bridge and could not help but over hear Raymond's side of the conversation.

"Yes I understand Mister Brinh, yes I know but it is his company. I have no idea. We wont be bankrupt, they do not cost that much. Oh they cost what?!" Ray shook his head then spoke to the person who had called him one last time. "I promise you the Admiral knows what he is doing." with that he closed the link and turned his attention back to Captain Dul.

"What was that all about?" ask Dul with a grin already knowing the answer. Ray let a smile crack the edge of his lips and shook his head once again.

"It seems our accounting department is going ape shit over the fact that the Admiral took all three of the new prototypes with him to fight the Vong." Ray said as the men walked to the middle of the bridge. "They claim if we lose all three it will bankrupt the company. I know they are exaggerating but they did mention how much the shipyard has sunk into them. Its not a pretty number." said Ray as the men sat in the row of command seats.

"That much?" ask the Duro Captain as he took a seat next to Ray. Ray nodded and smiled.

"More." said ray grinning.

ADM. Reshmar

Directorate Officer Fleet Admiral SJC 3rd Fleet
Reshmar watched as the three corvettes fell into position at the lead position of the formation of ships. To his left he saw the Wave Serpent taking up the second slot on the echelon right formation. Down behind it he knew the three frigates escorting the Waves Serpent were in formation and awaiting his command. Reshmar entered in his command access code and the jump counter began to count down. The large display hanging from brackets on the forward wall came to life displaying the female Calamari Commodore.

"Admiral, Reshmar. The 38th is lined up and awaiting your orders sir." she said as Reshmar finished setting up the jump clock. A younger officer stepped up and began working on getting the rest of the ship ready to jump.

"Commodore Lestia, have your jump officer sync your timers to mine. We will jump in five minutes." Reshmar said nodding to the female. He waited for her to acknowledge that she had done so The Reshmar spoke again.

"Once we arrive We will evaluate the situation and work on an expedient way to deal with the situation. The Hast group will not be in system for four hours and I have yet to hear back from the Aurora and Lucerne groups." Reshmar said as his own jump officer began the countdown. The Commodore nodded she understood and the link was broken. Reshmar looked over a map of the Sanctuary system and made a series of notes based on it.

The five minutes went by rapidly and as the timer counted down towards zero the Jump Officer turned to Reshmar.

"Sir permission to jump?" he ask as the timer counted down. Reshmar nodded and the officer finished his count. The timer hit zero and the small formation of Calamari vessels jumped to hyperspace.

Dredge had waited a good hour now, he sat in the control room and his forces had pretty much rounded up the bulk of civilians on the planet. In the first hour he hadn't received a single call or hero to stop him. This was new, like frighteningly new. The massive armored behemoth sat down in a swiveling office chair and tapped his palms against his thighs. Letting out a long sigh he exhaled and looked over to a group of Graug who were playing cards, contrary to popular belief most evil people did have hobbies.

"Was I not clear enough?" Dredge said as he leaned back in the cushy office chair and looked up at the ceiling.

"Of course my lord, you were very clear." One of the Graug said as they laid down a card to the floor.

"I mean I put a lot of effort into this plan and being a villainous nerf herder, the least they could do is try to stop me. I mean it's not like I'm asking for the world here!" Dredge said as he spun around in his office chair.

"Yes my lord you are quite evil and fearsome." The Graug said then tossed another card down.

"And you're not just agreeing with me because id kill you if you didn't?" Dredge asked the group of Graug.

"Oh no of course not my Lord, you are right and we are but your humble servants who agree." The Graug answered back.

"You wanna go kill some hostages my lord? Would that make you feel better?" the graug asked Dredge.

Dredge let out another long sigh then looked over to his men.

"Fiiiine." He said with a long draw.

One of the Graug stood up and quickly walked out of the door, after s minute or so they came back dragging a bound and gagged man dressed in some sort of uniform, maybe a janitor. The Graug threw the man to the floor and started to stream the event to [member="Connor Harrison"] and the galaxy as a whole.

"The clock is ticking galaxy! Bring Connor or we kill more!" The Graug yelled and backed up to get Dredge and the janitor in the shot.

The chair swiveled so that Dredge faced the camera his blackened helmet looking over his prey. Overlord simply snapped their fingers and the janitor exploded. Blood splattered everywhere and onto the camera.

"Oh god it's in my mouth! It's in my mouth!" one of the Graug yelled.

The Graug wiped off the camera and pointed it back to Dredge.

"Nine hours Connor." he said as the feed shut down.

"It just didn't feel the same without someone here to watch it ya know?"

[member="Xan"] [member="Kara Blackmoor"] [member="Raymond Mosses"] [member="Reshmar"] [member="Connor Harrison"]

Kara started heading into the town. The planet was a nice tropical world, full of politcal refugees, that means alot of shanty shacks and hovels. The planet had only been able to barley hold together over the multiple centuries since the gulag plague, just like the rest of the galaxy, everything fell apart. Though now the galaxy was making a comeback and things were beginning to get back to normal. Though this did not qualify as normal. Her datapad started to beep, and as she pulled it up she saw a gruesome sight. A man blowing up a poor janitor with his mind. She did not know who this man was, but whoever he was must be stopped. There was one issue with this plan though, she had no idea where he was, or how to find him. She would have to work on that later.

Off in the distance she heard the screams of many. Men, Women, Children, she ehard their cries, and felt their pain through the force, something terrible was happening. She made her way towards the disturbance, through the ransacked and pillaged town. Almost nothing was spared, everything turned to char and ash, even if this "Connor Harrison" showed up, these people would be left without homes, without any possessions, this was not acceptable, not in the slightest.

Kara finally came up upon a school, the source of the disturbance, she saw a horrible sight. People being rounded up like animals and put into the school awaiting their mass execution. These Graug creatures had to be stopped, she dint care what it took. Nothing could justify genocide, genocide was unneccesary violence for little to no purpose other than for some random dictator or warlord to get a few laughs, why did this man want "Connor Harrison" so badly, why did finding him require committing genocide, this made no sense to Kara. Kara did not know, but she would at least save these people, any amount of lives saved is better than none.

Aveira Dax

Weapon of The Dark Side.
Aveira stood on a small cliff overlooking the carnage. The only physical characteristics that could be made out was a long black cloak closed up with its hood pulled over head as the pair of aqua green and blue eyes peered out from the concealment and scanned the carnage. The faint hints of Zeltron’s skin that could be made around her blood red lips slowly pressed into a wide crooked smirk before becoming a terrifying sinister smile.

“I come back and the planet that abandoned me now burns…” she called out loud then began to back track her steps around the hill that lead down into the destroyed area. The remains of buildings, fire, and civilians screaming and running about paid no attention to the cloaked woman as she approached towards the one responsible.

"I don't think he's coming, they would of at least called by now." Dredge said with a sigh.

"They will come lord Dredge, the final reports are coming in and every major town and village is coming under our control. People across the planet will face death if he does not arrive." The Graug said as he carefully navigated himself on the floor trying not to slip on the blood.

"Yes I'm well aware of this, thank you for the forced exposition." Dredge responded back then looked up at the ceiling.

He span around in his chair and would have no choice but to wait.

Elsewhere where Blackmoor found herself at one of the many small villages and towns on the planet, the Graug (Gears of war locust) were done rounding up these people, she would see that they were being funneled into what looked to be a gymnasium to be placed in the center of it while Graug stood on the bleachers with their heads on a swivel looking out for anyone who wished to disrupt her.

The sound of a foreign language being spoken would fill the woman's ears and she would notice that a Graug patrol sweeping for potential misses would be coming her way, they hadn't noticed her but if she didn't react soon they would spot her and then the villagers would surely be doomed.

ADM. Reshmar

Directorate Officer Fleet Admiral SJC 3rd Fleet
The Ships of the Mon Calamari Defense Fleet burst out of hyperspace in the Sanctuary system near the edge of the worlds gravity shadow. The seven ships began to spread out opening up their echelon formation and launching fighters. Slowly the group settled into formation with the fighter squadrons taking up flanking formations between the ships. Reshmar looked at the world in the distance. Its calm waters and sparse islands looked so peaceful from this distance. The world looked tranquil and if not for knowing better Reshmar would think everything was normal here on the world.

"Tactical, begin scanning the surface. We need to know what is going on down there." Reshmar said settling back into his command chair. There was nothing he could do at this exact moment but move his ships in closer. The formation slowly accelerated and moved into the gravity well of the planet scanning the world below for the infestation Reshmar knew was present.

"Comm, Open me a wide band channel." ordered Reshmar. He waited till the communications officer let him know it was done and he spoke.

"Hostile force now assailing Sanctuary, This is Admiral Tian Reshmar of the Directorate Defense Force. This world falls under the Protection of the Directorate and the Mon Calamari Sector Defense Fleet. I do not know what your business here is but I hereby request you and your forces egress the planet peacefully and leave the Calamari Sector. I and my forces will allow you to leave without harm. If you refuse to do so we will have to consider you hostile combatants and proceed to apply pressure to your forces in an attempt to modify your actions. We do not wish to fight, only to have you leave the peace loving people of this world and return to your own systems." Reshmar said then nodded to the officer to cut the comm channel.

"Now we wait." Reshmar said looking out at the world below hoping whoever was down there would comply.

The Kingfisher sped through hyperspace for the Sanctuary system and the waiting Admiral Reshmar. The Line had formed up and jumper nearly four hours ago and Ray had excused himself to refresh and rest before they arrived at the besieged world. The ships guest quarters were opulent. The Kingfisher was for now the flagship of the Hast Defense Squadron and the Admiral had seen to its refit making it as much a diplomatic retreat as a warship. After the new Formidable-class was complete it would take up the position as flagship but for now the old Scythe-class was the best ship for the job.

Ray knew they still had a couple hours before they would be at Sanctuary and decided closing his eyes would be the best use of the time. He had been near the end of his long day when this all happened and as of now he had been awake for forty hours. He needed some rest if he was going to be of any use if there was a battle to come. HE ran through his mental checklist of things he had needed to do and things which he had left undone after the news of the attack had reached him. He did sign the order for the new construction permits. That at last was done. Now the Hast orbital zoning commission had to sign off on it and the construction of the Directorate orbital could get under way.

Ray knew it would take time but he had to admit to himself he could not wait to see the thing build. He has seen the plans for it. They were insane as far as practical construction goes but once completed the platform would take up most of the defense for Directorate Headquarters on Hast. Now though was no time to lay there and dream of something so far off when something eminently could be the end of him and the admiral and the directorate for all that mattered. No he would lay here and rest and relax and prepare for what ever was to come.

A few more hours passed and no one had made contact, not a soul. To be honest that tickled Dredge, really it did. It meant the galaxy didn't care, it meant that no one was coming to save these people. So with smile stretching from ear to ear he stood from his seat and waved his hand over at the graug film crew, but right before he could speak he was hailed by some person from some defense force that he really didn't care about.

Looks like the galaxy had a small bit of heart left in them after all, but alas it wasn't what he wanted. So he wouldn't be responding back to them via your standard communication array, no this was going to be something for the admiral and the galaxy to watch. So giving the nod the crews started to film and the message would be broadcasted across the holonet for all to see.

A dirty lends filmed the scene before it of Dredge standing behind a family of innocent people brought up to the control room, the time had run out now it was up to Dredge to keep his word. Across the planet multiple streams of people gathered up in large areas such as schools, parks, gyms, anywhere that could hold a few hundred people here or there.

Graug stood there holding various blades, guns, and other sick weapons of destruction. It all flashed across the screen to give the watcher a gravity of how many lives were at the gallows. Fourteen thousand, a few thousand had escaped the world before Dredge's forces could really sink in but this would have to suffice. The feed would slice back to Dredge standing in front of Sanctuary's governor and his wife and children. Stepping in front of them he kneeled down in front of the man and ran his iron covered hand against their face.

"Before we go through with this, I want to tell you something. You were many things in this life my friend, a politician, a husband, a father, but most recently you were a bargaining chip. And let me tell you that you failed at being a valuable one, if this had been Alderaan, or somewhere important you'd have more than a measly fleet above your head right now telling me to stand down instead of invading. So I-" Dredge was cut off by the man crying and shaking his head

"Please! You don't have to do this! Please spare my fam-"

"SHUT UP!! SHUT THE FETH UP!! IM IN CHARGE HERE I DECIDE WHO LIVES AND WHO DIES!! SHUT UP!!!" Dredge screamed at the man and soon he went quiet as his wife and children quietly sobbed.

"Politicians right?" Dredge said with a chuckle as he looked over to the camera.

"This is for [member="Connor Harrison"] and his merry bunch of Coalition friends, I gave you time, and I gave you a chance to save these people." The monster said as he stood up.

"So for the people in orbit and the people in the coalition, this is only the beginning. I will kill your family, I will kill your friends, I will kill your friends family, your pets, your home, I will kill the flowers in your garden until everything you love lays dead at your feet." Dredge then walked off camera to the sound of him picking up his bastard sword.

"No! NO! PLEASE DONT!" was all the man could say before the monster returned with his blade.

The imagery wasn't to be described as Dredge tore that family limb from bleeding limb, all of them for the world to see. After a few moments soaked in blood the man approached the camera and spoke three simple little words.

"Kill them all."

Across the planet howls of bloodlust cried mixed with screams. And in what seemed like a blink of an eye, fourteen thousand souls were gone. To be one with the force.

ADM. Reshmar

Directorate Officer Fleet Admiral SJC 3rd Fleet
Around him Reshmar heard the gasps of disbelief as the beast slew the family. He sat silently considering what had happened. Below him on the peaceful world of Sanctuary mass slaughter has just racked up a toll the dark figure could never pay. Even if every single being of his ilk combust under the fire of Reshmar's guns the price could never be summed. Innocents had been tainted here under the systems sun and the slight this creature had displayed for the peoples of Sanctuary would forever be fortified in Reshmar's mind.

"Captain, Jam that transmission, Get me a firing solution on the main body of those things, safety's in place, just target them." Reshmar said closing his eyes. Thousands more on the world below were in danger. Reshmar had no doubt this creature would kill more. He opened his eyes then looked at the image of Sancturary below.

"Captain, who is this Connor Harrison person? get me some information on him. This thing seems to have singled him out. If we know why these monsters are here we may better understand how to proceed forward. A direct assault is not possible too many innocents in the way. We need some sort of edge, some angle. Also send out a burst transmission to the Directorate Command Web informing the others of what has happened." Reshmar said nodding to the ships captain as he saluted him. He watched the man walk away and to the communications station to carry out his orders.
