Open Market Slicer Contract: FFS Data Hack

  • Contract Offered By: Doc Painless Doc Painless
  • Type of Contract Offered: Slicing Services Request
  • Type of Contract Desired: Individual - Individual
CONTRACT DESCRIPTION

Target: Fority Fabrication Services (FFS) Internal Server, Sakedo Tower
Desired Data: Proof of Negligence
Reward: 1 piece of custom cyberware + a cut of the settlement

Additional Info: Three days ago, a recently-constructed hab complex in Baker's Row collapsed. Over a hundred people died, but you probably didn't hear about it; the corps are good at killing stories that hurt their image. The families of all those people brought complaints against the corp that built the complex, Fority Fabrication Services, alleging that the company ignored safety standards and cut all kinds of corners to save credits.

If the dead had been "Important People" in the eyes of the higher-ups, they probably would've been paid off. But they weren't, just a collection of service workers and low level wageslaves... so Fority sent their "troubleshooters" to intimidate them instead. Those suits have been putting the squeeze on the grieving relatives, telling them to shut up about what happened and hurting them - or even disappearing them - if they won't.

The only way that those people get even a little bit of justice, and the only way to hit back at Fority in a way they understand - cutting into their profits - is to prove that they were responsible for what happened. If someone were to slice into their internal server, I'm sure they could find evidence that Fority used substandard practices and materials, and that they tried to cover it all up with violence. That would force them to settle up with the families.

Their internal server isn't directly connected to the holonet, though; you can only access it by manually connecting to the mainframe in their office in Sakedo Tower. On top of that, it's bound to have heavy security encryptions. It'll take one novahot slicer to get in there and pull it off, or maybe a team. A bunch of the victims' families have gotten together and agreed to pay a chunk of whatever settlement they get to the hacktivist that can pull this one off.

I'll throw in a piece of custom cyberware, designed to your specifications, as an added bonus. I want to see these sleemos go down.
