- Rate of Fire: The SMR-13 comes equipped with the ability to have an extremely high rate of fire; allowing it to fire blaster bolts in rapid sessions.
- Damage Output: The damage from the SMR-13 is powerful enough to penetrate almost all armor types.
- Recoil: Because the SMR-13 is mainly constructed by songsteel, giving the SMG a lightweight effect to the weapon, and has a damage output; the recoil on the weapon is very high.
- Personal Range: The SMR-13 is designed for CQB, and with the addition of the suppressor on the SMG's barrel; it takes away from the range effectiveness of the weapon.
The SMR-13 was created at the bequest of Lady Varokscar, the Overseer of the ISA's Intelligence Agency (The Directorate), for the sole purpose of arming a highly trained elite unit to aid the department in hunting down dissidents and those wanted for actions against the ISA. The weapon provides the unit the ability to maneuver without the cumbersome feeling of bearing a heavy or large weapon, whilst giving the unit a powerful weapon to conduct their operations.
The main focus of the SMG is its damage output. The weapon is powerful to rip through almost all types of armor, from heavy to light, which each type of armor taking the shots differently; and can tear through unarmored individuals with ease. Unlike most automatic weapons where the damage output is lessened in favor of releasing more shots, this is not the case with the SMR-13. The weapon can withstand the repeated use of firing, especially with the barrel designed almost entirely of dallorian alloy, which prevents the barrel from overheating, and in some cases melt.
