Description: The S-202, or better known as the Snips is a High Powered Long Range Blaster Rifle. Designed by Ex-Military Specialist from the old Fringe Confederacy along with reversed engineered Ancient technology, the Snips is custom made to penetrate Heavy armor up to 1,750 meters to 2,000 meters. Using a new lens technology, the rifle is capable of outputting massive blaster bolts into a narrower stream of power. Made up of light weight metallic components, the weapon is perfect for nearly all Quick Reaction forces along with Special Forces units behind enemy lines who need light equipment.

The weapon uses an ancient technic found in old weapons lost in time that allow the weapon to display heavier stronger bolts that can penetrate heavy infantry armor along with light vehicles. The weapon is often sought after by nations military marksmen as it is light weight as well as carrying a heavy punch. Often saying if it doesn't kill you, it will leave you winded as if you were trampled by a Bantha herd. The few drawback of this weapon is that it drains its power cells quickly as well as requires a lot of maintaining, as it can jam quite often of not kept clean. Due to its metallic compound it spread the head of the barrel to nearly all parts of the weapon, and is known to become hot if constantly fired.

Just about every sniper rifle in canon that made use of blaster technology rather than projectiles, such as slugthrowers, found themselves coming far short of the normal 1-2 km range. The average maximum effective range was generally around 450-700 m, depending on the amount of power used (which required using more ammunition per shot). At 10 blaster bolts I don't see a reason why this shouldn't be acceptable at around 500 m, but reaching 2 km is not quite possible with a blaster rifle.

Well I used the Barrett 50 Cal Sniper Rilfe as a base line for this weapon. Of course this weapon is like to top of the top in Technology we have today I increased it slightly as this is suppose to be future tech. If this is still unacceptable for change then I shall change it, I just wish to express where I got the effective range from.

There is a difference between a slugthrower (traditional gun with a traditional bullet) and a blaster rifle. Blaster rifles have such low range because each blaster bolt is entirely made of blaster gas in a plasma state, which means over time they degrade - upon reaching a certain point in time the blaster bolt will no longer be capable of doing its effective damage, and beyond that the blaster bolt will cease to exist (burn out/fade). This means blasters have far more limited range as the ammunition only travels so far before it no longer does any damage upon impact as the round is not solid, whereas a slugthrower round will continue traveling until it hits something because it is a solid round. The Barrett .50 Caliber is an example of a slugthrower rifle, not a blaster rifle.
