So... Now what?

[member="Darth Ayra"] Tricky things.

From what I can tell, we've been spread out which was not at all expected in the slightest. Me and you are on Mykr during interrogations, Lord Daemos is being given a second chance as a Mando, and [member="Hunter Yagami"] seems to be going to Mandalore until further notice. This presents a tiny problem, as I'm unsure if there is a fifth member that has notified me of dedication to this plan. Obviously originally we started with enough, but between now and then something changed.

So, with that in mind, I am attempting to see if I can create a situation that gets us relatively close to one area. More specifically, I want to get as many of us away from Mykr. I will not be removed from that world, but I've invented a purpose for you. Somehow, we have to end your interrogations and ship you off to some other world. Additionally, we need to make sure Hunter does not remain on Mandalore (due to its immunity), and we need to be sure that D-Man is ready to "fight us" when hell eventually breaks loose.

What I'm hoping to do, is to hire a fleeter to steal Republic ships that will "skirmish" a particular world that will group us more or less together, and to hopefully increase Mando/Republic tensions in the IC just a smidgen. Under the clustercuss we call the full paltry might of the fleet forces we gathered from [member="Aken Bosch"] to blockade the world, drop troops and over throw the planetary government from the inside out while cutting off its communication with the rest of the galaxy. During this, we will have allies in the form of the Heralds of Chaos, and hopefully a New Order (to save you, their fellow compatriot).

That's the idea though. Is it sound, or do you have a suggestion? (By the way, thank you for addressing this in the forum, it slipped my mind to do so)

It sounds good, this is your scheme so I am going to follow what you say because I haven't had a problem with it thus far [member="Darth Voracitos"]

If necessary, I can join in as a fleeter with Aken Bosch as either Ayra or my alternate character [member="Malus Bligh"] which I created during the glory days of the Empire to be a fleeter and officer during dominions and invasions. However, the tactics that I normally employ as a fleeter in Star Wars can't currently be used as Chaos doesn't have the technology I developed for the methods I created.

Perhaps we can put together some development threads? With the help of Mark, who I know to be rather good at getting factory submissions accepted, then I think the Katarn Maneuver, which I devised in a previous roleplay, can be used; and deliver us some victories.

It is literally the perfect move where I roleplay a cloaked boarding shuttle breaching an enemy ships shields with an ion cannon and then latching itself onto the hull of an enemy warship, where it begins to cut into the hull via it's plasma cutters. I always make sure to write and empathize that the shuttle is in a position on the enemy ship where, if they shot it off, then they would cause severe harm to themselves because by shooting it off, they would then cause damage to a key area of the ship, say, it's cargo bay.

I then roleplay shooting the ion cannon into the area of the breached ship to negate it's on board security systems and most importantly, it's shields, so that the vacuum of space will suck all of the on board crew and air into space. Then my troopers board with zero gravity equipment and gear so that they can work and unload enough explosives to cripple the ship. Now imagine five shuttles doing this with a team and explosives on five different areas of a Mandalorian, Republic or Omega Protectorate war ship? That ship is finished, no question, because on board security teams can't get into the breached area because of space and the fact that it's internal shields cannot activate due to the plasma energy running rampant because of the ion cannon; and by the time they've got teams ready to enter a zero gravity area, my teams would have already deployed their explosives and then escaped on the same shuttle.

What do you think of the Katarn Maneuver?

[member="Darth Ayra"] Christ dude you're a genius!

I would suggest you use your other guy since Ayra is in a tiny pickle. I can use a Heroic NPC to assist you in this. If you can get Aken to join the Mando's and to return a tiny bit to us just for this plot, we'll have the necessary numbers to start the Rebellion on June 14th. Between now and then, I will absolutely help you with this maneuver, and it will REALLY help us out.

Also, just to mention, [member="Hunter Yagami"] has been feeling frustrated with the lack of attention he is getting, and for good reason. All of his threads (minus our surrender and his training threads) have died, so I need to figure out how to involve him more than simply giving himself up to people. It's kinda off topic, but I need help in resolving that issue as well.

I'd have no problem with [member="Hunter Yagami"] participating in the development threads we'll need to construct the Annihilator-class boarding shuttles (that's the name of the boarding shuttle in my other SWRP). I also don't see why we couldn't just wing it and say that we developed these boarding shuttles/the Katarn Maneuver before we instigated the events that led to us being imprisoned. Makes sense too, because a Sith methodically prepares things in advance to remain two steps ahead of the enemy, right [member="Darth Voracitos"]?

yes, very much so. More of a watcher really, I get the gist of what you guys want to do, but I have no ******* clue what to do due to me having no REAL training for my character because of dead topics and such, no blame to be spread just really confused with the site in general

[member="Hunter Yagami"], [member="Darth Ayra"] has more experience than I do with training people. I can remain your tutor for mental defenses and such if you'd like to maintain that area. Also, just so you know your training thread is still active, I'm willing to continue if you are and [member="D-Man"] doesn't seem to be on a huge LOA like it was meant out to be.

I think what you need is just some solid RPing with dedicated players to finish the thing. We don't get awesome tech if we don't finish, so I am almost certain the thread will finish, and it will be awesome.

[member="Darth Voracitos"] [member="Hunter Yagami"] [member="Aken Bosch"]
To create the Annihilator-class boarding shuttles, we'll need to do at least three development threads:

  • First, where we find and recover stygium crystals to be used for our ships. Enough for a small flottia.

  • Designing the craft and then it's manufacture (I can use my contacts in the New Order for this).

  • Testing the craft and it's operations, from which the Katarn Maneuver is devised and developed IC by [member="Malus Bligh"] and whatever Sith/officers are present during the thread.

This is also kind of cool because then I can go ahead and do what I've always wanted to as Malus, which is lead a Thrawn type of campaign on the galaxy :D

[member="Darth Ayra"] The only potential problem would be finding a source of Stygium. The Mandos own Aeten II, and I can't find Maramere on the map, so I'm not sure how viable it is. However, since we seem to be in the mood of Skirmishes, do you think the New Order would be capable of hosting a skirmish on Aeten II for our purposes?

Otherwise, we might be capable of careful subterfuge. But all in all it's a choice between either going hard and quick, or stealthy and subtle. Hard and quick might not make as much sense, since this will be before our surrender and New Order hasn't been around for very long as Major. However, whatever works will be done.

On a guess, how many of your New Orderee's are active?

[member="Darth Voracitos"]

New Order just went major and I am in good contact with it's leader, one Darth Vulcanus. The only problem is I don't think they want to make the Mandalorian angry. Plus, I don't think it would help our cause in present time if there was a recent Sith-Mandalorian conflict.

[member="Darth Voracitos"]

I'll leave you to talk to the Mandalorian leadership OOC to devise this pre-surrender storyline. Empathize that you want to create a good story out of this for everyone. I think that is our best bet for getting them to agree to a skirmish. I'll coordinate things on the New Order end.

I've contacted them recently, and so far the only information I have garnered from them, is that in the past they've been really resistant with giving anybody their rare materials all the way from players to companies and beyond. So we'll see if I'm capable of weaseling them a deal :D They're usually pretty understanding and more straight forward, so I'm betting on a pretty good chance they'll be compliant, if only to get rid of us with finishing our Rebellion.
