Woostri was wet.

Woostri was also a technological hub within the galaxy, once containing a data centre known to store a vast amount of information. It was said that the data centre of Woostri once contained that much information it was a solid contender for the data centres of Courscant. Entire wars had been fought for control of the data centre.

Unfortunately, electrics and water don't mix.

During the Battle of Woostri, the main data centre on Woostri had been destroyed. Commodore Helix Commodore Helix and Darth Strosius Darth Strosius had successfully breached the walls of the building and begun to download the precious information with the intent to send it to the Mors Mon. However they'd been thwarted by the defending Galactic Alliance. A battle had ensued which saw the data centre submerged in water from the big blue wet thing.

Elsewhere across the planet, the Sith had brought chaos and destruction. Once pristine sandy beaches had been transformed into glass by Srina Talon Srina Talon and her landing castle. An entire city had been reduced to a crator by Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean just to prove a point to the defending forces. Millions had perished.

However, rebuilding efforts were underway. Both on land and underwater, repairs were being completed to damaged infrastructure. Up on a cliff, the final touches were being completed on a new Sith Fortress fit for the soon to be declared governor of Woostri. Even minor rebellions had been quashed.

Yet one thing remained lost.

Whilst the shell of the data centre had been cleared and rebuilt, the information inside had not been. Many had tried, however the water damage to the servers was severe. It was fortunate that one final suggestion had been made, Allyson Locke Allyson Locke herself coming up with the idea. Mechu-Deru.

Mechu-Deru was a rare Force power, one that let users control and change machines with their mind. It was often used by those wielding the Darkside of the Force to command droids, fix or modify technology, and even create deadly cybernetic creatures. It was believed that Mechu-Deru would be the key to data recovery.

Darth Latens stood overlooking the data centre. He was awaiting the arrival of those who would be able to assist, to recover the data he sought access to. He had hope. He had hope that Mechu-Deru would be the answer and would bring back that which was lost.

The hum of Munificent-class frigates floating above the waters, aquafitted salvage equipment busying themselves from the briny depths and the spacecraft to shift them offworld. It truly surprised Trayze Tesar how often his low-rank in the Sith-Imperial Banking Clan Asset Acquisition would be useful in the activities of the Sith.

But this felt too little too late. Despite partaking in the siege, and thwarted the anti-air, he was helpless to prevent the data from being thoroughly waterlogged. Yet he still offered and plied his aid, through the tireless efforts of the Sith Inspectorates and the Asset Acquisition employees, enacting far more mundane means of data retrieval.

"Eighty seven percent of the centre has been salvaged." he spoke quietly, trying not to soften his voice to modulate the tone to be too patronizing. Lad and apprentice of his cousin Zachariah Conway Zachariah Conway may be, the lad was the Empress' own kinsmen - and he would not be without canniness. Hence why he was calling forth practitioners of Mecha-Deru, and Trayze himself was curious to see the supposed application of the Force in action. "Ten percent is... likely to be... lost, sir."

Three percent. Three percent of the data that hadn't already been processed, or deemed irrelevant was up in the air. With every increment dissected, the likelihood of learning more slimmed ever more...

Woostri was indeed wet.

This fact always confused Allyson with the galaxy's choice of turning this planet into a massive information storage center. In most cases, water and wetness do not mix well with technology. The Corellian sighed as her leather boots crunched the glass fragments in the sand. A curious after-effect of the landing castle. The thought that something had that much force to create this effect made Allyson shudder and continue.

She followed behind the officer and the newly appointed Governor of the oversized server. Woostri will always be a place she'd rather avoid. It was the site of her betrayal, a wound that hadn't healed. The memories clung to her like a persistent shadow with every step. There have been run-ins with the Jedi Grandmaster since then, and the mere thought left a sour taste in her mouth. Allyson stifled a yawn, tuning back in as the officer continued to drone on about the server conditions after the flooding.

Waving her hand, she made her presence known to the two men. "Nah," she responded, there was an air of confidence. "We'll get all of it; if not, the Mors Mon can piece together what I can't." Allyson knew her abilities; she had taken down ships and space stations single-handedly with the power over machines.

"Have you uncovered the terminal cores?" she asked, hoping they were still intact and, by that, that they actually existed.

"If not, things will just take a little longer, and I'd have to process a bit more information on my own, but if they're there, it will be a straightforward recovery." Without hesitation, Allyson removed the leather eyepatch over her eye and pocketed it. Suddenly, the cybernetic eye flickered to life when they came upon the first data center. Pausing, she looked towards the man who was talking of the recovery.

"Were you able to salvage anything from the other data center? Or was that one destroyed?" She looked back up toward where the Mors Mon hung in the sky. Through the Force, she began to connect to the ship. As much as it was necessary to act as the proxy for the ship, Allyson hated that dreadful feeling of the Mors Mon lingering in her head. Even being this far from the ship, she could feel the tormented spirits that coated its hull.

"The faster we get this done, the better," she grumbled.

The eyepatched woman spoke her piece, and Trayze answered: "We have secured structures that matched the descriptions of the terminal cores... damaged and waterlogged." he sighed. "As well as the auxiliary data centers - most of them are intact but heavily encrypted - if not teetering on being brickwalled..."

He turned to face the woman, regarding her as a friend - or at the very least, a coworker... "Trayze Tesar, Asset Reclamation and Forensic Extractions." he introduced himself, offering a hand to shake. He could sense that the woman was Force sensitive, but whether or not she was a practitioner of Mecha-Deru, or someone like him - a Force Sensitive who had an interest, or a skillset that would help clean up the mess that happened at Woostri.
