Note: Doctor Ahlek Gernovo, researcher and head physician of the Republic Intelligence team in charge of researching subject 1200387320. First and foremost, to whomever may be reading these research notes, if studying this subject do not engage or give her any reason to believe she is in danger. Now, the subject has exhibited shapeshifting abilities that extend beyond what we have already encountered (namely in the Clawdite). After an interview it was concluded that her species are capable of shapeshifting into a large variety of shapes and masses - from taking on the form of another humanoid (a well known ability to us) to taking the shape of a Rancor or Hutt. We were informed her species is capable of these feats due to additional flesh hidden within their bodies, detachable tendons, and thin (albeit dense we suspect) skeletons. None of this could be confirmed due to subject's unwillingness to submit to a medical. When officers attempted to force the issue... the subject killed them. She has described her natural form as possessing sunken eyes, and wide mouths and thus it is apparent she has not shown us that form. We are unsure if this privacy is cultural or individual. Their shapeshifting abilities extended to changing the texture of their skin to mimic trees, rocks, walls, and nearly any thing imaginable. This however does not grant them skin as tough as, say, durasteel. But simply mimics it. Not allowing them a natural armour. Subject also noted that her people do not suffer any pain during transformation nor will they revert to their natural form when killed. We believe that is only temporary, however, due to our lack of knowledge we have chosen to ignore the suggestions of our more... detached colleagues.
Subject 1200387320 was discovered in her 'human' form and it appears that this is an exterior she has grown attached to and uses to represent 'herself'. We are again unsure whether this is a cultural or individual trait. In this form she appears the age of about twenty-five, stands at 5'9'', and is of a slim body structure with a pale Caucasian skin tone. She, subject 1200387320, has blue eyes and auburn hair either worn down or placed into a ponytail. In her alternate form, perhaps her true appearance (we cannot be sure one way or another at this time), she retains her general body structure. 5'9'', slim, except now has a grey (or exceptionally pale) skin tone and eyes that appear to glow orange with a faded outline for a pupil. Her hair in this form appears to be black of a much thicker, tendril-like material. It has also been noted that skin occasionally appears to have faded scarring that will glow either the same orange or violet. It appears to be a response to emotional distress. In this stage of emotional distress she has also demonstrated a Force Sensitivity through the destruction of nearby equipment via what appears to be telekinetic discharges. Subject was noted to be Force Sensitive before the incident (|refer to the incident report|) but untrained and having only demonstrated minor telepathic abilities. Refer to the below images.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES:
...Initiating archived recording. Twenty-two days after the incident.
Note: Subject possesses raw strength equal to that of someone of her body size, and thus not one overly impressive, however she has demonstrated amplified strength in times of distress. We believe this amplification stems from her Force sensitivity. As noted previously, she murdered the officers who attempted to force her physical. This is relevant due to their example. Both men stood above 6'0'', had received years of training in martial arts, and had undergone a decade of physical fitness. Both men were in exceptional shape. The subject as comparison before this was... in fact a colleague of mine. A researcher. An University graduate whose training was only that of a doctor (as far as I was aware). Yet through a burst of what I can only describe as 'energy', overpowered both seemingly with ease. More than that - she killed both with an additional ease. No further attempts were made to force the issue by staff. We are unsure of what occurred during the incident, or if she had been concealing her additional skills the whole time, but the subject has certainly amplified her Force sensitivity, brawl skills (from using what appeared to be joint locks), striking and moving speed, and reaction time. All of this from a scientist I once witnessed to have trip over her own foot while getting up from lunch.
After further study she demonstrated exceptional talents in subtlety, manipulation (although with the recent reveal she was not human after all we believe this a skill she has always had), martial arts, accuracy (both in her pinpoint striking and use of a blaster), dexterity, acrobatics, and general stealth. But this is not to say she was perfect. Although... there were times I believed she truly was. Ah-hem. As previously noted she did not possess brute strength and we were able to physically detain her once close enough, and in addition, she appears to be incapable of handling immense pressure and stress. We often used this knowledge to aid in detaining her. Under repeated pressure she quickly became more flustered and cracked beneath the stress, incapable of keeping herself focused on each and every security officer sent in. She also exhibits an unhealthy obsessive personality bent on organization. We often left small things in the room with her, and almost immediately she grew distracted by them, moving them to where she preferred them. This personality was previously noted before the incident but not to such an extent in which she became unproductive.
It was actually a bit cute.. In any case. As review, she presently possesses amplified force sensitivity (and thus increased ability in the Force), martial art skills (specifically K'tara and K'thri), above average skill with a blaster, high intelligence, shapeshifting abilities, force sensitivity (currently telepathically and telekinetically), subtlety, skill in manipulation, and unpredictable strength and swiftness. As discussed previously her species possesses innate shapeshifting abilities, but what was not mentioned was the Shi'ido ability to touch the minds of creatures around them to mimic scent, and the subtler aspects of a race. She has below average piloting skills, an inability to endure stress, obsessive compulsive nature, episodes where she appears to be minimally lucid, and varying trauma from the incident. It is also believed she is developing mind persuading abilities (this note has been added after the original text. Please refer to the below note.)

Note: Normally I would not have updated my research log so soon, but at a time like this, I believed it necessary. At approximately 2100 hours Subject 1200387320 had another episode where she was unresponsive, however conscious. This episode differed from any witnessed previously. While conducting an interview with young researcher Dr. Talliri S'aoine the subject became silent and stared at S'aoine. The young doctor, notably puzzled by this, asked the subject if she was okay. The subject copied her words. Dr. S'aoine then asked her what she was doing. She again repeated her. This continued for a few more minutes as the doctor tried to regain control of the situation, and each time she said some thing, so did the subject. Except she was copying her faster and faster. Eventually they spoke at the same time. The subject was no longer repeating her, but rather they were saying the exact same thing, at the exact same time. It was at this point Dr. S'aoine was understandably freaked out. Now yelling at her to stop it the subject continued to speak at the same time as her.
The rest of us continued to observe, astonished and a bit... creeped out, until the situation turned slightly. The subject spoke and -then- the young doctor spoke. She doctor was now repeating the subject, her gaze locked into her's. It is perhaps worth noting that the subject during this interview was in her 'natural' form. Security then rushed in, detaining the subject, and securing the doctor. Her state continued for the next hour. We observed the subject, alone in her holding room, speaking to herself and it was reported the doctor (then in the medical bay) was repeating her. We checked the logs and the information was accurate. The subsequent hour the doctor returned to herself, well, as much one could. She was scared, disturbed, and panicked. She urged us to terminate the subject before we all died. Kept saying she shared her thoughts and she knew what the subject planned. Additionally she refused to continue working on the project. I, as head of the team, was asked to request a termination of the project to the higher-ups. I agreed. I never did though. They were being ridiculous. O-our... perfect subject would never turn on us. She w-wants to be here... she told me.

BIOGRAPHY:
...Initiating archived recording. Seventy-two days after the incident.
Note: Much has happened since my last update, and for that, I apologize. I am unsure to whom I am even apologizing but I have learned as well any other academic that nothing stays a secret forever. Every thing comes to light one way or another. Which is why I was forced to act before I could properly record the events and findings that transpired. But before that, I would like to detail the history of the subject, before I never can get to it. The history she has shown me.
Subject 1200-... Sol-Andraste.. Andraste. Andraste was born 702 ABY on the Shi'ido homeworld of Lao-mon. For years she was raised there with her five siblings - her two sisters and three brothers. Andraste being the youngest. Her life was simple albeit filled by curiosity. It is believed all Shi'ido have this innate curiosity. Lao-mon suffered many travellers and explorers, greedy humanoids searching only for a means to make profit, and when they arrived they found only rocks and trees. Her people were good at hiding. It was often treated as a game by the young Shi'ido and she was no different. While many Shi'ido never did leave their homeworld, afraid of the horrors the stars hid behind them, Andraste did. They had all heard tales of the human's creations trying to end them. Omni. 723 ABY and Lao-mon was again visited by travellers, explorers trying to discover some new primitive species, and it was then that Andraste decided to take her chance. Changing her form to that of a small creature she snuck onto their ship and waited.
As always the travellers returned empty handed and prepared to leave and for the first time in her life Andraste entered space. The gateway to every other star in the galaxy. She stalked the ship for weeks, listening to them, fascinated by their stories and interactions. Their basic needs and emotions. The way the co-pilot joined her captain in bed and later that night his son too. Or the way the scientist on board mumbled and cursed at his friends and retreated to his floral testing, research, and samples. She could not help but study each and every one of them. Learning their tells, how to move like them, sound like them, be them. At times she even tested it. When the captain would bid his co-pilot goodnight and return to his cabin she would take his form and return to the cockpit, claiming to have changed her mind, and instead imitate what she had seen them do together so much.
She was at this time just barely an adult for her people and sought only to learn, to live, to experience. To discover all the wonders that life presented. Eventually the ship docked on Coruscant and she left her second home ever. Knowing she could not impersonate this crew forever she instead imaged up her own exterior. Some thing she call her own. Some thing she could control. And she departed into the world with this form, working a minor job, living in an undercity apartment, before deciding she wanted to learn more. Applying for an internship at a local research facility she was, naturally, denied due to her lack of an education. But so impressed with her intelligence and eagerness to learn the employer, a teacher assistant at the University of Coruscant, helped her in taking local night courses. Courses she swiftly flew through within months. Then he walked her through applying to University. Accepted she began her journey in academics.
Years passed and she earned a Masters, and now with a paid internship she followed this research team across the galaxy. Every one believed she was a human from Naboo named Illyria Eelo, and that is who she became. So much so she had trouble telling the difference between this creation and her actual Shi'ido self. Nonetheless she earned a Doctorate some years later and her work gained recognition. Eventually her mentor recommended her for a position in Republic Intelligence, and after many interviews, training, and tests they discovered some thing she did not even realize about herself. She was Force Sensitive. Calling her a 'reader' for her natural telepathic abilities they hired her all the same. But for reasons not completely the same as just research. They wanted her to discover species, creatures, and objects that did not exist publicly. The Republic wanted an advantage following the Age of Chaos.
Trained to handle whatever came her way she undertook various missions for Republic Intelligence, often as a research head specializing in Xenoarchaeology, where her skills were to be kept on a need-to-know basis. As was her true purpose in most cases. But it just two years ago when a mission led her and a team to the borders of the unknown regions. It was then the incident occurred. Months after detecting curious and unknown signals was their ship abruptly seized and taken. Inside they found themselves in an enormous ship. Technology the team had never heard of. All except Andraste who could hear the ship 'breathing' and thinking inside her own mind. She knew some thing was not right. They were captured, enslaved, by people she had never seen. Each and every one of them were put through the Embrace of Pain. She... she was one of two survivors. She did not share with me every thing that happened within that ship but she came back different.
She spoke of the whispering. The constant, never stopping whispering. Andraste and her fellow survivor were eventually picked up on a nearby star, the other survivor seriously injured. I looked over him personally. It was remarkable he lasted so long. I suspect it was for Andraste. But he succumbed to his injuries and died, and I- I knew her. I don't know why. I don't know where. I could have sworn... I had never seen her.. but some thing. Some thing told me I had known her my entire life. I needed to protect her. I needed to save her. Humanoids are parasites. They would siphon the life from her.. they would abuse how remarkable she is. They would stain her perfection. I could not let that happen.
I would not. I, Dr. Ahlek Gernovo, end this recording the only survivor of this Republic Intelligence project. I killed them- them all. The means came to me in a dream and I knew what was necessary. I then freed her. Hahah.. I freed her. I gave the galaxy some thing they could never appreciate.. I.. -cough- -cough-.. I..
