Solan received training beginning at the age of eight from his mother in the mental commands of the force, but that was simple telepathy and telekinesis training, the bulk of the training that of meditation. Though that was only a small bit of his life, very little of the sum of his life on Alderaan was spent living a fairly normal life as far as it went, his eyesight impairment obvious by the age of ten and intelligence as well. His father returned around the age of twelve, urging his family away from their home and to Dantooine. There Solan lived until today.
For the next four years his father taught him the use of a double bladed and single bladed saber, both in Niman style before his own death came. At the age of thirteen Solan was treated with the sight of his mother and father killed by a number of local militia due to rumors of them being sith, the spreader of such rumors Sith himself. His mother died first as the men invaded the home, killing several in self defense before hand. His father died to the sith though, having killed those that went after him, he fought the sith in the very room that Solan cradled his mother's body. The sith was in the end felled but the militia men shot the father. Before they could leave though, the three that were left attempted to kill Solan as well, only to fall dead to Solan as he took up his father's saber and killed them, lost in complete rage. Only one survived in the end, whom returned to his home and resumed the story that a Sith lived there assuming such due to the complete rage.
