Rationale: Ice wanted a new company to create a line of droids, but didn't want to shift the focus of STI to it.

Description: SolaraTron Industries is the sister company to Shadow Tech Industries. It was created when STI saw the need to expand into the droid market, but knew that such a move would steer the company away from its primary goal. That of designing and making items for operatives, assassins, and your high end soldier/mercenary types. It was also a way for STI to free up some of its manufacturing capability by moving its production of the FM-9 droid over to SolaraTron Industries.
With Ice's recent acquisition of Libertalia, the success of his own company STI, and his high ranking position in the Shadow Empire and Valhallan Federation. He was able to pour a good deal of credits into SolaraTron Industries to get it started on a more advanced footing than he was able to originally do with STI.
SI will be primarily focused on battle/security and medical type droids. However it is also moving into the Replica Droid Industry. This move is prompted in two parts. One, to provide a lifelike droid to interact with Libertalia's high profile clientele, which could be put off by having to work with metallic looking droids. In this way, his clients will never know the difference. The second part, is Ice's high sense of security. Having spent enough time working on items for the espionage industry, he simply does not trust the production of such expensive droids which will be interacting with the rich and powerful, to another company.
Ice's position within two factions, means SolaraTron Industries will have ready customers for most of it's primary droids right off the bat. Including its RD line which will be at first be supplying Libertalia. In line with how STI operates, SI will also be open to do custom unique constructs for anyone with a plausible idea. The neutral stance the company takes in regards to politics, means that it is willing to sell to anyone. Thus greatly increasing it's potential to make a profit.
And like its sister company STI, it will soon be having a manufacturing hub made for itself.
