Soledad was settled when the survivors of Seoul V fled their world. The planet was dying and they spread out finding a large world that drifted far in the distance. It was settled and they found a bountiful land. The survivors didn't know what to make of it though. They struggled to rebuild their society and found thousands of creatures in the world that were both hostile and helpful.
The society they built was one that became based on reliance on machines and flourished around the largest city. Rhoanapoor filled nearly like a megapolis behind huge walls and buried deeper under ground. The city was home to the appointed ruler who could oversee everything and rule. Her iron fist brought the lands around her in line and for a time there was peace. Then she passed away and fueds between the children she bore took place.
Until finally one rose up creating the Metsuka order who would serve as her personal guards. They were loyal only to her and armored to fight. As her reign came to pass and technology grew more commonplace the society started to tamper with genetics to make their children fit in and perfect. Each one could be shown and designed for a job with the rich being able to lavish and afford more.
This genetic soup gave birth to another type of humanoid within their society. Aberrations neither full male or female but both who's minds were fragile and could be easily broken. With the ancient line of the Countess in charge they were humanely cast off into space to travel and not plague the society. Some were never heard from again and some were suspected to find the old realm the part where they had come from long ago.
The peace and society flourished with eventually the children of the genetically perfect children growing up. Their lifespan was harder to track but with the Metsuka keeping the peace across the planet and being the highest level of the military they didn't suspect what was coming from the dark.
Three thousand years ago the Countess of Soledad had ruled the planet in peace through her bloodline, while the Metsuka Order enforced it using what in times past was called "The Force"....however, that peace would soon become only a memory....
The Great Civil War started when several male members of the Countess' family, tired of being supposedly 'over looked' and hungry for power, started a rebellion on the planet using mind control, fear of death, and lies about their leaders and the Countess. To do this they consulted a willing Lord Arakesh, seeking a way to gain power on their planet (which never actually came to pass), on how they should go about overthrowing the government. These men became known as the WAR LORDS. After starting the Civil war the War Lords also hired bounty hunters and Morequi to hunt down and kill all of the Metsuka....including the Countess.
After twenty years of constant battles and skirmishes all that was left of the Metsuka Order, the protectors of the planet, were a handful of knights and priestesses, who had no choice but to flee the capital with the only surviving child of the now dead Countess. Once they escaped the planet the Metsuka decided the only way to survive would be to separate, then reunite at a later date. And so they divided, scattering throughout the planet...
Some returned in secret to Rhoanapoor, starting the nomadic groups that continue to train knights and priestesses in secret....for the battling still continued between the War Lords themselves. No one ever knew what happened to the child of the Countess, but many believe now that the child was brought back to Rhoanapoor to be trained, knowing the War Lords would have their bounty hunters and Morequi searching everywhere but the planet for the child.
Ten years ago Soledad is still a war torn planet. The descendants of the War Lords having taken on their ancestors titles, and are fighting amongst each other for control of the planet. There are ever growing rumors of 'The Next Countess' returning soon to lead both civilians and Metsuka alike out of the War Lord's oppression. These rumors stemming from a vision one of the greatest Metsuka of the time, Soru Soriar, had over fifty years ago.
Though still war torn, Soledad is slowly recovering. A new Countess..., a former Jedi, and Metsuka... has been placed in charge of the planet. However, the Morequi still pose a threat to the planet's recovery, and the newly restored Metsuka Order has their hands full keeping the small resemblance of peace intact.
Now changes have come with the arrival of the Fringe in the unknown regions and the return of Shinju to her homeworld. The never ending war finally finished in a bloody conflict that had Dharma Vessia assuming control of the labor forces of the Teryn's and using aerosolized psychotropic drugs on the populace. Her special brand of madness infecting them as she called for the wanton slaughter of those in power and the Fringe fought in the fields the other armies.
It took some time but eventually they breached the palace and Dharma slew the countess taking her place through and by her divine right among the people. At the head of the large empire of not exactly cloners but geneticists who could create beings designed for the purposes. Her servants became a cult dedicated to her glory and began to erect statues and everything in her name. The rest of the Fringe accepting it when they realized she could create more then just psychotic cannibals which was a rare occurrence.
The years since the lords of the Fronge left the region have been different. Using the chances and time most mapmakers were encouraged to forget the location of the planet. Not entirely erasing it from charts but it will rarely show up in the galactic database of other worlds except ones who still have information from the lords of the Fringe like Jared and Spencer. Dharma and Shinju largely spending most of their time on the planet while their daughters venture out and explore finding anything interesting that might be worth a bite to eat.

- Morequi: Darksiders and dissenters who have started a civil war. Their goal is to dethrone the ancient line of the Countess. Their technology is largely based on the Teryn with genetic imperfection being the difference. These things are sent to fight instead of exiled into space.

They are considered disposable but are either depending on the use sent into space as children or used by the Morequi as front line soldiers.
