Solidification of Roche

The asteroid fields were decorated by a massive fleet of republic landing transports seeking to land around vital sites on the fairly new Republic system of Roche.
The system had just recently joined the Galactic Republic after the southern systems had started to give in to self government and isolation.

It was therefore not only a source of economical value to the Republic but also held a symbolic status as the first world to enter the Republic after the southerns sad state of turmoil.

Naturally Roche therefore still held a significant Republic military presence but after the most recent event with the traitorous prime minister attempting her coup on Chazwa rumors about powerful companies making preparations as if the planet was not Republic soil - a reinforced army unit along with a sizable fleet was dispatched.

Their objective was straightforward - to secure Republic interest and safeguard any private companies interests in the system.

Soon public messages from Republic sources was spread throughout the many sites in the asteroid belts to justify the free markets in republic space and officially denounce the usurpers claims. The message was clear, Her coup has failed and she will be brought to justice.

"Admiral sir, we've arrived in system."

Gir nodded, stepping towards the bridge viewport to gaze upon the tumbling rocks of the system. It's pretty amazing that an entire species lives here...is it more amazing that they were also the ones who blew up their homeworld? Perhaps it's most amazing that after that, they've thrived to become as successful as they have. He shook the thoughts from his head. The Verpine were a long and storied race, but their system also was strategically important on the Perlemian. By controlling it with the admiral's squadrons of ships, the navy of the True Republic would be able to safeguard much of the galaxy from the rogue actions of the prime minister-turned-dictator and her clone army. But ships alone would not fully secure the belt from any interlopers. The blonde man turned his head to eye the communication's officer.

"Ryes, get me a line with the Verpine Technocracy."

"Yes sir. Working on it now..."

It would probably be best if we were to coordinate and possibly combine our forces to better defend the belt against the prime minister...
