Description: The Starfall was the brainchild of Ayden Cater, and prototype for what would become the Solo-class. Devised as the crown jewel for Omega Pyre security, the ship was initially constructed in secret. Once it was near completion, the ship's existence was revealed and soon the Starfall became the then-Omega Pyre's premiere starship.
In time, as Omega Pyre transitioned into the legitimate government known as the Omega Protectorate, the ship was approved for limited production. Setbacks necessitated that some systems be scaled back or removed entirely as the Starfall prototype, while a complete success, was deemed too costly for production. As a result, the Solo-class is not as heavily armed and lacks the hyperspace monitoring station and meditation chamber that the Starfall possessed.
Even with these setbacks, the Solo-class remains an impressive ship. A single ship is often enough to secure a system, a trait the shipline shares with the Imperial Star Destroyers of old. With the class pushed into minor production, the opportunity was taken to improve the ship's internal structure and update systems with recent technological improvements while retaining the prototype's security design philosophy, resulting in a higher-than-expected crew count for a ship it's size. The result overall is more than hundred meters added to the ship size.
