- Capable of managing, analyzing and reacting to vast amounts of data.
- Able to be placed in a droid, on a ship. in a vehicle, suit of armour or in a facility as needed.
- A combination of various different processors allows the Soloman to handle data at an unparalleled level whilst giving the Soloman incredible abilities compared to most common droid brains:
- Heuristic Processor: Allows the Soloman to learn over time and reason through several plans to discover the best solution to a problem rather than relying on reprogrammed solutions.
- Gabonna Memory Crystal: The crystalline structure underpinning the entire project, the Gabonna Memory Crystals allow the Soloman to store vast amount of data and process them at blisteringly fast speeds.
- Intellex V: An overclocked processor, the Intellex is used by the Solomon as a secondary processor, allowing the droid brain to offload tasks and computations from its primary processors leaving them free to utilise their more powerful primary processors free for more important tasks.
- Kraren XI Superprocessor: First used in the A9G-series Data Storage Units the Kraren superprocessors specialise in the collation and handling of data. Their inclusion in the Soloman was for specifically that purpose, to handle the vast amounts of data that might be thrown at it, collating the data to be used by the other processors in the unit.
- Specialized Subprocessor: Included in the unit, the specialized subprocessors allowed the unit to run more effectively at one task, be it piloting, analysis of financial data or ballistic calculations. The subprocessor was set at creation, and while it could be replaced, this was a timeconsuming process that required a high level of expertise.
- Dual linked analyzer circuit: Further enhances the unit's ability to analyze problems and work through them to find a solution.
- Data Storage: Thanks to the Gabonna Memory Crystal and the Datacron inspired crystalline storage technologies involved in its creation, the Soloman's crystalline lattice has a phenomenal data storage capacity, able to hold entire databases worth of data for quick access if necessary.
- Data Handling: The vast data storage capacity of the Soloman would be useless without the ability to parse that data, to use it. Thankfully the Soloman is able to do this, taking either stored data or incoming data, analyzing it and collating it to spot the patterns and information that is needed to react to, to make decisions based on.
- Processing Speed: After the data has been collated and processed it needs to be processed. The Gabonna Memory Crystal alone has a processing power beyond most normal processors, but in the Soloman, it is supported by a number of advanced processors to support the crystalline lattice's processing abilities. Combined the unit is capable of handling data at incredible speeds.
- Problem Solving: A normal computer is capable of processing data and coming up with a solution according to preloaded programs, but the real world doesn't always work out that neatly. The Soloman is capable of a more natural form of processing, using the data and its experiences, to find solutions that might not appear to a normal droid or computer. The more experience a Soloman unit gains, the more capable it can become.
- Data Analysis: Everything a Soloman interacts with is data, pure beautiful data. data that can be analyzed and taken apart. Patterns and trends can be found, the future can be predicted, hidden facts can be spotted and brought to the fore. Data is a Soloman's world, and where it excels.
- No Social Skills: The Soloman is created with one purpose in mind, and has no need to communicate with organics more than necessary. When information needs to be shared it is in the form of pure data, to be shared with other units, or to be thrown up on a screen. There's no need to speak or interact with anyone beyond that.
- EMP/Ion: Like all electronic devices the droid brains have no native protection from EMP or Ion attacks.
Droids and AI, the two sides of the coin that drives most all the galaxy's industry, social and medical fields. In fact, you could find those droids and the processors that ran them everywhere in your everyday life. Droids have personality, droids have the ability to fit themselves into any facet of your life and feel like they belong. They're built that way.
That isn't always what's needed.
The Soloman Processing Unit takes the idea of a droid brain and strips it back, removing its personality, removing the interface which allows it to amiable interact with others. It's a computer, a device capable of running calculations, of preforming tasks without the niceties of having to deal with organics. Data is the Soloman's world, and handling it is where the processing unit excels. The Soloman is designed to be placed in a ship, in a vehicle, base, droid or armour to provide processing, data analysis and problem-solving capabilities, often controlled through the medium of an AI or other user interfaces.
