DESCRIPTION
The Solus Nek, the Solitary Dogs, the Lone Beasts of Clan Vereen, are those few warriors who have lived when others have not, who have lost too many loved ones and family members, have decided they need to avenge their fallen comrades, committed an offense against the Clan that they feel they must honorably right the wrongs. Often these are Einherjar, older veterans and leaders that have lost many or all of their subordinates, young bloods, fathers or mothers who lost their children in battle, even a Jarl who believes he has cost his kin too much pain and suffering. The choice to become a Solus Nek is entirely up to those who take it, no other can force such a choice on someone. To bear the mantle is to claim, openly, they are without honor, and do not currently deserve a place in the Manda, that their deeds have cost them the right to claim a part of the Oversoul until they find redemption. It is in effect, to call one's own-self Dar’manda.

In this, they seek redemption through great risk, often resulting in their deaths. They will travel with the War Kindred and cast off fellowship with their brothers and sisters in arms and instead sit in solitude. During this time, the warrior will reflect on what things they must fight for, how they can redeem their honor and the honor of their fellows. The mental preparation is considered intense and incredibly private, to intrude upon it can likely end in being outright attacked or beaten to a pulp by the veteran. As the warrior prepares for battle they take rites as they accept that they will find what they seek regardless of whether they return or not.

When they finally do leave solidarity and join the Kindred, they move alone, seeking out the greatest challenge they can find, either heavy defense, a large group of enemy elites, an enemy commander or Force user, one single act that can turn the tide in battle. Once they have found that, they fight, to the last breath and beyond, until their body simply gives out. They have been known to be extremely hard to actually kill or disable, fighting like madmen driven beyond reason and control, able to struggle and push through pain and injury until they find victory. What makes them truly unique, is that they have decided victory will be theirs whether they live or die. Within their armor they have a life support monitor used as a Dead Man’s trigger to a powerful Disruptor Bomb, which works much like a Disruptor blaster fitted into an explosive, exciting the molecules around them resulting in a very destructive green explosion sending beskar shrapnel in every direction and capable of disintegrating enemies around it and turning light vehicle armor into molten slag. This bomb is powerful, however it is fairly small normally about 10 meter explosive radius is the best it can do with non-lethal pressure and shrapnel being ejected farther. When the warrior dies, it detonates, killing as many as possible, taking them all into the afterlife with him.

This death is seen and believed to be the ultimate redemption. Either the warrior achieves his victory and walks back to rejoin his clan with his honor and that of the fallen he fights for restored, his place in the Manda returned to him, or he dies in a fiery explosion and redeems the fallen with his own death, embracing the Manda with his final act. Very rarely will these warriors be slain without incurring some enemy casualties, and these are often forgotten by all but those closest to them, their names removed from any known records.

In battle they carry powerful Mythosaur Battle Axes enhanced by power hammer internal components which cause terrible problems for armored and unarmored opponents alike, often knocking soldiers about. They wear Aliit’Vereen Beskar’gam fitted with enhanced servos from Stargo Forgeworks, and make use of almost exclusively close combat weapons as their goal is to close with an enemy or enemy formation and kill it or die trying. It is not uncommon for a Solus Nek to charge a bastion alone and carve a bloody path through fortification before succumbing to their wounds.
