Digital Shadow
When the news had reached the slicer's ears that there was going to be another gathering at the Blue Flame, she couldn't help but curse her luck. At the moment, she was too deep in the progress of an experiment to just abandon it. However, that didn't mean she couldn't send one of her companions in her stead. In fact, she sent two.
EL, the first droid she had ever made and Red. He was a surveillance droid originally and that was how she used him. Flying above EL, he took up a position to watch what was going on at the gathering. Any news that might be interesting and who might be present. This was what he was designed for.
The other droid was more protocol but did at least know how to shoot a gun. Only if her master got into trouble though which seemed to happen quite often. If she had emotions, she would have let out a contented sigh because Aren had decided to stay home. Not a chance in the world of her getting into a sticky situation if she didn't leave their home.
None of the patrons questioned why there seemed to be a lone droid taking a seat or one watching them. This was a public place and all entities had the freedom to come and go as they wished. Perhaps they just thought or assumed the two of them needed to plug in and get recharged.
Doing his job, he watched the people and when one man moved to place a note on the board, his camera focused on it, took an image of it, and would pass it along to his master when they returned to her side. After spending about an hour there, they felt they had represented her long enough to go back to their shared flat on Denon.
Upon their return, they gave her what information they had gathered and she smiled as Red showed her the note. Giving him a bit of praise, she felt the need to give this stranger a helping hand. It was clear he was at least an ally since he had been at that bar, so she waited only a little bit longer before leaving to find him.
