Somebody who doesn’t know why it failed tries again…

Corvus reached the hangar and prepped the ship for take-off. Receiving final clearance she set a course for Tatooine. She never really needed an excuse to go, and so the requirement to collect a possible Jedi relic uncovered in the desert was one she jumped at. Was it fitting for the GrandMaster? She didn’t care – she was going.

So she dug out some candles and ball-bearings and used the time in hyperspace to perform her daily ritual of Faalo’s Cadences. And given the time available she was able to perform both the fourth and the fifth cadence. Six hours later she completed the exercises and grabbed something to eat before showering and changing.

Once the ship had exited hyperspace she set a course for Anchorhead.

Location: Anchorhead – Junix's Joint

Corvus looked at the green-skinned bartender and nodded. She was almost a regular now. She noted the light in the ceiling had been repaired since she last visited but the blaster marks on the wall were still there. Uh, so uncivilised. She blushed none the less.

Without asking, the Rodian put a blue milk in front of her. “Here for long?” he asked.

Corvus shrugged, “I don’t plan to – but then I never do.” She took a drink from the mug and flashed the bartender a wide smile – complete with blue moustache. She sensed a Force presence in the bar and slowly turned to take in the clientèle.

Sitting at a table under a dim light was a single Epicanthix. Eyes glew a fiery orange which was rather unnatural but if you considered who this man was then you would come to accept that he was not really supposed to be alive, not like this at-least. He wore no armor had no weapons and dressed rather casual. His head adorned with a turban to protect his head from sand storms and goggles rested on his neck like a necklace. Rest of his grabs are were brown or tan like the sands.

The Darkside was very strong around Kezeroth, almost palpable. He was used to it though, continuing his actions he sipped on a Corellian Ale. A smile came to his face after each drink. Mmmmm!

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus scanned the room again. The Force User was not here for her, she’d arrived after him. And nobody else in the room warranted his attention – at least not to Corvus’ discerning eye.

Which left it as a coincidence. Corvus did not like them and didn’t trust them. Add the fact this was a routine mission and you had the recipe for something major to go down. It always worked out that way.

She turned back to the bartender. “Can I have another of whatever he’s drinking,” her eyes indicated who she was speaking about. Once the bartender offered her the ale she nodded with approval. Dark-sider or not, he had taste.

“Grasp the gundark’s thumb – or whatever it is they say on Vanqor.” She ignored the blank look the bartender gave her and wandered over to the Epicanthix. She put the beer down on the table, and followed it with her own glass of half-drunk blue milk.

“You should never drink alone,” she offered, a smile on her face. She was naturally wary, but the Force had yet to warn her – and she trusted it implicitly.

" I must be drunk now. A pretty woman comes to sit next to me?" he joked as merely glanced at her. His eyes not catching much of her details, Kezeroth was feeling a slight buzz. As a Gen'dai he could drink for a lifetime without feeling a thing but those glory days are over. Looking up at her he squinted some, there was something bright about this woman. His eyes hurt slightly just by looking at her. Blinking some he rubbed his face till he touched his beard.

" So, Where you drinking alone too or was the bartender your drinking buddy?" he smiled happily.

[member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus smiled. It could have been pleasant banter, or the drink talking or…as she’d recently learned, a genuine interest in her. She dismissed the latter — why anyone would be interested in her was still a mystery. Plus she was already spoken for.

So he was tipsy, or friendly, or both of course. “Stopping here is something of a ritual for me when I arrive on the planet. A famous man once did so and I can’t help copying him. Of course I’m not carrying a baby.” She blushed profusely. “I don’t mean pregnant…he was a man…what I meant was…” She paused. “I’ll stop there. I just like a blue milk before I move on. But you don’t seem like a regular and I wondered what you might be doing here. That’s all.”

“So…care to share?” She took another gulp, and her top lip became even bluer.

[member="Kezeroth the Beholder"]

" Who am I?" he smiled some. " Would you mind not being so bright?" He squinted as he looked at her face. " Although I think I am jealous of your eyes." he chuckled and paused. He was tipsy and talking to a Jedi. A jedi who was greatly known too. [member="Corvus Raaf"], The Grandmaster of the Order. To this day she looked the same as she did on Fresia at the Temple of Pain. Was odd rather seeing here here but since his death and Resurrection the Epicanthix was rather without feeling. Risks were not what they used to be.

" To be honest I thought you would know me but, This form is rather new..and weak. I am Kezeroth." he took a huge drink of his ale finishing it off and slammed it on the table as most Mandalorians did when they were done.

" Bartender! Ni copaanir sto!" he shouted speaking in Mando'a and basic. " Corellian Ale!"

Corvus was wary of the stranger. Not intimidated, or frightened – but most certainly wary. It was how she’d stayed alive for as long as she had.

As to his identity. He was clearly giving clues – but she wasn’t working them out. And then he named himself.

She’d said his name not so long ago. To the group that she tended not to speak of or to any more. “You coordinated the raid on the Temple of Pain?” There was a question in her voice.

“You died…” the credit chip finally dropped. “Which explains the new form.” She nodded. “So, of all the bars on all of the planets – what brings you to this one?”

[member="Kezeroth the Beholder"]

" Yes! I did. Was it successful?" he got kinda excited at first but as he tried to search for the memories of his own death and the skirimish itself, He found only darkness. He could not remember. " The mind is blurred. So why not make it more of a blurr?" he smirked some. " Eh.." He looked around as if he had forgotten where he was for a moment. " Tatooine. Ah to be honest I am unsure. Whatever my reason for coming here was...I dont care now." he waved the bartender over to his table so he could get another Ale. It was clear he was alittle depressed.

" Perhaps the Force guided me here to see you." he jeered some but calmed down as he thought about it more. What he said could of very well of happen. He smirked at [member="Corvus Raaf"] trying to not think about the purpose of his visit.

Corvus was floored by the question. Because she had never checked on the outcome of the raid – other than counting all Jedi back to Ossus alive and unturned. For her, that was a result.

“There were some successes,” she offered. Clearly his death was not one of them. “But that’s history, eh?”

“And you’re here, regardless of reason. So…tell me. Are you drinking to forget, or remember? And more importantly…can I help?”

She smiled and took a gulp of her blue milk. It was warm and most unappetising.

[member="Kezeroth the Beholder"]

" Some success eh?" he face to stone as he repeated those words. At the moment he did not want to think about what happen in full on that day. [member="Corvus Raaf"] was right. Its history now. " I am drinking..." he paused briefly. " To forget. Yep. Definitely forget." he answered leaving out a response when it came to Corvus helping him. He thought it odd she was still even by him.

" Help? Me? Am I going to be turned into a Jedi in the Process?" he asked rather seriously.

Corvus wasn’t entirely sure where the conversation was heading. Was he serious or playing with her? Or both?

But she was a Jedi after all and would not turn her back on anyone — nor would she force her opinions on him. Jedi rarely got a good press.

“Help is whatever you want it to be. As long as I don’t have to break the Code or the law. Sometimes it’s just being here, a drinking buddy.”

She raised her hand and attracted the bartender’s attention. “I’ll have what he’s having.” As he bustled across with a beer for Corvus she gave her attention back to her drinking partner.

“We’re not going dancing though are we? I don’t do dancing as a rule?” Her face was emotionless, but as she finished the words, she broke out into a wide smile. “And we don’t make anyone be what they don’t want to be. You’re thinking of the other ones.” Her smile remained.

[member="Kezeroth the Unyielding"]

He smiled as his fantasied about dancing with [member="Corvus Raaf"]. " You know your nicer then you appear to be. Maybe its the drink or my perception of you before now. You had me thinking you were some zealot of light seeking to destroy all darkness and you get the picture." he raised a brow as he ordered a Corellian Ale, the same drink as his.

" Its strong stuff." he raised his glass for a toast. " For... Eh." He lost his words and dazed off pondered where his words went.

" As for Dancing... i dont think I have ever danced before." he mentioned as he remembered his past some. It was full of Negativity. " Unless my swordsman ship counts as dancing. Hehe."

Corvus smiled at the back-handed compliment. “I oppose evil. Always have and always will. Does that mean I am not benevolent or forgiving? I hope not. I once thought only as a Jedi. Now I am a woman too. Still a Jedi, but — I hope — a more complete person for it. Only time will tell of course.”

“And zealot is never a nice thing to be called. Remember, nobody thinks of themselves as extreme, it is only others we see as having outrageous views.” Her voice remained calm and friendly and she took a swig of the beer as his proposed toast fell flat.

“I’ll drink to that,” she offered.

“And every duel is a dance in my experience. So yes, I think you can count them.”

“So…what are your plans now? More One Sith sites to destroy?”

[member="Kezeroth the Unyielding"]

" Really now? Zealot in my sight is always something positive. The galaxy needs a Unyielding figure." he paused after he said Unyielding and grinned somewhat. Maybe his death actully had a purpose? He shook his head and took a big swing of his Ale. After finishing he wiped his mouth and hung his head down some. " Ugh.." he groaned. If he kept this up he was gonna get drunk. " Who knows Corvus, Maybe one day i'll get my dance with the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order." he chuckled some as he waved his hand in the air in a sloppy manner. " Water! ....Please." he said aloud.

The Bartender frowned some. " Hey bud when you gonna pay for all this?" he responded as he roughly set a glass of water on the table. Kezeroth had been in the cantina for quite some time and had yet still pay. Leaning up Kezeroth glanced at [member="Corvus Raaf"] briefly before addressing the bartender.

" Your payment is my respect. Heh heh!" he began to drink his water.

She was GrandMaster of the Order. She was a Jedi of over two decades standing — but she was not worldly wise. Her ability to understand complex emotions was still at its infancy and she was never entirely sure when someone was serious or playing games with her.

Did the Dark Jedi mean dance as in dance or as in duel? Her ignorance was not something she was prepared to share right now. Instead she picked up on one thing she couldn’t help but see.

Smiling to the bartender, she nodded to ensure he added the current bar bill to her tab. She knew he’d trust her to pay. She just hoped she had enough credits in her pocket. She was on old-fashioned Jedi in that respect. She had no bank account, as she had no income and therefore no need for a way of spending.

So she invariably carried enough credits in her pocket for the next meal. So she wondered how long the Dark Jedi had been here. If she’d misjudged, she was going to have to clean a lot of dishes.

“So,” she said, turning her attention back to the man at her side. “Are you unyielding?”

[member="Kezeroth the Unyielding"]

Was he unyielding? That was a question Kezeroth was not entirely sure about specifically now at this time. He gave it a long thought as he groaned some trying to think about it. Instead of Answering he changed the topic slightly. " There was a time in my life were I was 100% at peace and loved by those around me. 2000 Years ago to be exact. An environment of love and peace provided by those around me. I could go off and tell my life story but that would too damn long plus my head is starting to hurt. Which is an odd feeling since being drunk is slightly new to me."

He rubbed his temples.

" Yes. I will be Unyielding in my ways in till i return to what I want." he smiled and took another drink of water. " But enough of me I'm a open book." he sarcastically jeered. " What about you?" he asked in return. His fiery orange gaze briefly connecting with her purple eyes. Many people in the galaxy wanted Kezeroths eyes, the eyes of the Beholder they called it. But now Keze was the one now wondering how he some eyes like [member="Corvus Raaf"].

Well this was getting serious quite quickly. But not in a bad way.

Corvus wondered what it would be like to live 2,000 years. Or 10,000? If one could be weary after the shorter period, imagine the longer span and being held in stasis?

But she shook the thoughts out of her head. "I am consistent. Is that the same? I don't think so. I am always ready to learn but that does not mean I yield for the sake of it." She smiled. "I'm probably not making sense."

"So, for example, I follow the Code. Without fail. Maybe that's unyielding. But I am prepared to alter my understanding of the Code if shown a different interpretation. Is that helping?"

[member="Kezeroth the Unyielding"]

" So out of curiosity. If I one day came to the Jedi Temple and said I wish to learn, What would happen?" he joked some what. The Darkside was a force to be reckoned with but it was all also all he knew. As a Gen'dai he practically worshiped the darkside and let it consume him, but that was in the past. Now in this present momment he had the choice and power to freely chose a different path and Kezeroth was highly curious and considering.

" I dont imagine I'll be greeted with thanksgiving." he jeered. [member="Corvus Raaf"]

Corvus smiled. “I can’t speak for every Jedi, or every Temple, but we teach only Light-sided Ablilities. And what I mean by that is only those that can be accessed through the Light-side. If you can touch the Force that way, then…in theory…you could learn.”

“But, if I am honest, I would be selective as to who taught you. Call it caution. You don’t strike me the sort to call on the Light-side, so I wonder if this is little more than a theoretical question.”

“We ally with those that sometimes use the Dark-side. If their intent is to do good. The joint mission was a good example. But Dark Jedi running around impressionable Younglings? We would be extremely prudent in this regard. Which…I suspect…is what you expected to hear. Yes?’

“So…was it hypothetical?”
