Something In the Water

She had always one to push herself further than perhaps she ought to. One whom felt she had something to prove to the galaxy. No matter how many times Anastasia was knocked down she would get up again. They could take her parents, her siblings and even her childhood but that wouldn't stop her.

She often wondered what life would have been like had her Imperial parents raised her. She could remember times that she would sit in her father's chair and pretend she was a Moff. She had wanted to be just like him when she was little. Ana wished she could remember what planet it was he had ruled but such details escaped her.

Being a slave had been easy and she knew how to play the game better than most. Keep your head down and do as your told. It was best that way as being a rebel got you nothing but more lashings. Ana should know as she had gotten plenty herself.

The galaxy befuddled her even now that she had be introduced to it a few years ago. There were so many rules and customs that she had yet to learn. Things that others laughed at would go over her head. Anastasia felt silly at times but would always shrug it off and just smile. She didn't want others to see her squirm.

She had tried the whole make friends and have relationships thing but that never seemed to work out well for the young woman. Everything always ended up in a mess and she heartbroken. Even though she was still young Ana had pushed such things out of her mind and focused on her career and increasing her knowledge of the force.

A deep sigh escaped her lips as she took a sip of her drink and glanced around the small tavern she had found. Sometimes she enjoyed going where nobody knew who she was. It gave her the opportunity to sit, people watch and get lost in her own thoughts.

He found himself drawn out of his hideout, not wearing his assassin attire that day but to instead wear his more casual looking armour, though it did protect him and tend to hide most of his face, it also allowed him to reveal himself in public. He ended up hitching a ride to where his mind was pulling him to. Having only learnt that the instinct a Jedi feels is the Force guiding them, he didn't feel like he should resist this temptation to explore.

Arriving outside the tavern, Yuroic seemed less sure that he was doing something that was right, his confidence of his skills and abilities were not as high as others might think. He felt internally constantly guilty about the death of his parents, reasons which he still did not fully understand as their death was so soon after his birth. He pushed the door into the tavern slowly and peered around, not seeing many people in the tavern Yuroic started to question why the Force brought him to such a place.

Surrendering to the fact that he couldn't figure it out, whether his weak connection to the Force, which was what he always thought he had, or the Force itself blocking him from this knowledge was at play. Yuroic headed to the bar, signalling the barkeep which drink he desired he swallowed hard and inspected the few people that were around. His eyes gazed over a young, beautiful woman who he for some reason felt that they had something in common, or perhaps more than just one thing. He shook his head, knowing that he was fooling himself before he turned around and waited for his drink.

As Ana took a sip of her drink Ana watched as a young man took a seat close to her at the bar. She was used to big burly guys around, the warrior bounty hunter types so that didn't catch her attention. What did however was his pale skin but only because the human guys she normally was around were tanned. That she attributed to the hot Mandalore sun.

"Hello," she smiled and waved slightly as she sat her drink down. Ana despite everything tried to connect with people and be friendly. The last thing she ever wished to become was a hermit even though at times that seemed like a really great option. That in her mind was almost like giving up.

Tonight she had chosen to forgo her armor and wear some casual civilian type clothing. It was only because she didn't want to stand out in the pink armor. It told a tale itself along with every dent and scratch. Ana was also working on fixing it up a little so there was that too.

Yuroic noticed that the lovely young lady approached him and he feel his cheeks redden somewhat, he felt somewhat in awe of her connection to the Force compared to his as he took a large gulp of his drink he heard her say hello to him. He extended his hand to shake hers and felt his mouth open to say something but it just hung there and his tongue remained glued to the bottom of his mouth somehow.

H...Ello... Nuuuu... Hell... Hello His tongue finally coming looser as he attempted to speak like a two year old baby. Hello, I'm Yuroic. And you are? His smile was warm and his dark green eyes seemed to have a hint of fun behind the hardness that remained there.

Shakk didn't really enjoy bars, her father regularly visited them and she was always the one dragging his Karking drunk chit back to the ship. Today though she let her body guards celebrate, she didn't much understand it, but Mandalorians apparently love to drink. She was adopted into the culture by her father so she choose to drink water as she was sure she would have to drive later. Still underaged the older crew members would often try to get her to drink, but since she found out she was a force user she chose to not do that anymore.

Drag, her teams demolition specialist was already through a bottle of... Well she didn't know really, he didn't let go of the bottle enough for her to read the label. She sat at the table next to them drinking her water reading her holopad that held data on a holocron of a jedi healer. She couldn't get to it because it was in the Jedi Academy Archives, but she read it none the less. She hopped that the reading would give her a foresight into the force. She still knew nothing but what the Jedi healers and Sith sorcerers taught her at the medical station he father lived on. So next to healing cuts and bruises, she was a novice to the force.
