Something old from something new (Dev Thread)

Lanax had his droids bring in the armor sent to him from Hakora Feanor now known as Darth Valdra. He was not a fan of helping the Sith, but the young Feanor had already lost his sister to death and Lanax found the responsibility his to help protect the last Feanor. He took the helmet and gauntlets made of pure Cortosis and tossed it in a smelter. He then took the rest of the armor and put it into a machine to break it back down to Cortosis weave. This was the beginning of the armor that would become the armor of a Sith Lord.

Now that the pure cortosis had been brought down to a more workable level he used tongs to remove the fresh cortosis as he did not want to harm himself in case it was dangerous in this inpure form. He then added the pure form of cortosis to the rest of the melted down armor. Slowly and making sure not to spill he moved it to a refiner and smelter to form pure ores and remove impurities from armor damage and other materials that may have mixed into the armor over time. This process was going to take a while.

He then made his way to two bucket filled with Phrik and a the other with armorplast, both of which he had recently obtained for this project. He had been studying a method of making an armor called Quantum-Crystalline that was meant for ships or so he thought. What intrigued him was how it was made. It was the stacking of atoms so close together that any closer and you would be breaking the laws of physics. This intrigued Lanax the the point that it begged the question, "Why not try it with body armor?" While he was sure with these materials he could not make it as strong, why not give it a try?

He, as a forceless human, could not make something on an atom level, he had developed a machine that had a computer processor able to work at the level of atoms. He loaded the machine with Phricks and Armorplast where it would spend a few days making one then layer and another thin layer of each material. While he could only do a few layers or else it would become more armor than clothing his hope was that this would make a clothing stronger than this Galaxy had seen before and only time would tell. His cortosis would not be ready until the next morning so Lanax decided it was now time to get some sleep.

Lanax awoke early the next morning after speaking to his partner, [member="Orphen"], He hoped his partner would be able to make it and help him int he development of the armored style clothing. He checked his refining machine and found that it had made beautiful pure cortosis ores. Sadly, this was the only thing going right this morning. He saw the error message on his other machine working on the Quantum-Crystalline which had failed. He pulled out his screwdriver and ran a diagnostics on the issue and found the problem quite quickly, the bonding. His atoms were smashing, but the two fibers were not forming. He needed to add something that would build the Covalent Bonds. He went over to his supply closest looking around to find something that would bind the atoms with an airtight seal.

He pulled out a few cans of Airseal Gel and hooked it into the machine and re typed in a new formula to use the gel to bind the two materials to make clothing like leather. He thought for a moment and smiled at a thought and decided to add Laminanium to the protect that would be weaved into the core The formula appeared airtight to Lanax and he restarted the crafting. He watched it for a few moments to make sure it would work and now it seemed perfect now.

A few days later, lanax returned to his work show to look at the progress. It would seem he had layered the Phricks, Laminanium, and Armorplast perfectly creating a beautiful, black material. He took the material over to another machine he would use to design the clothing and ran Hakora Feanor's size and measurements into it. After placing the material into machine it began to get to work. He went back to his forge and threw in some bronze that he would use to make the hinges for the straps and buttons.

While those were melting he moved over to the pure cortosis ores and placed them in the same machine he used to mend the combined faberic. This would bring the ores into a workable material, but he added another can of Airseal Gel, what was left of the Phrick and some red dye so he could make the coat and pants red.
