Prophets of Navis Sacra
Vyn Daldoure
Willow and Ivy were gifted with foresight, among other things. More often than not, people had used them and exploited them to see their futures or pasts; either to help increase their fortunes or surprise their enemies and defeat them. Only once had the twins looked into their own future.....
And what they had seen terrified them.
In the vision they had been cut apart, severed from where they were conjoined at their hip and just below their shoulder blades. Even though they didn't share any vital organs, they were still so closely connected that such separation was unbearable. Even their Force connection was nullified by some kind of means that took their abilities to read eachother's minds away. It was their first moment of ever experiencing being alone. And it was horrible! So much so that Willow had died after being placed in a different room. All that Ivy could do was beat her fists on the door over and over again until they started to bleed, scream and shout until her throat was raw, and cry so hard until she had no tears left to cry.
It was utterly terrifying. And they vowed to never look into their own future again.
Now while under Broka the Hutt 's employ, they had protection from such a fate. However that didn't stop scientists from wanting to capture them for study, for a king that wanted to use theor fears against them in order to exploit them for his own empowerment, and for supposed goodhearted people wanting to 'rescue' them from what they deemed was enslavement.
Yet the twins didn't believe themselves to be slaves. They had their own massive suites with huge beds that could fit their pair comfortably. They got one free drink a day from Broka's atriums, and a small amount of credits to have others buy fabrics and dolls, games and flowers, whatever they wanted to brighten their day. They got to wander the Palaces, and sometimes the markets too, usually while under guard. Their continued loyalty and service to Broka as advisors granted them more and more freedoms as time went on. He even hinted at them gaining a small salary!
Their guards for the most part were...the strong silent type. Yet Willow and Ivy wanted something more. A new recruit certainly held promise and this time, the twins were lucky enough to get to interview him themselves! So they waited patiently on the couch inside of their suite for him to arrive. Willow ate some fresh fruit while Ivy read a story. There was no need for her to read it aloud. Instead she just used her telepathy to read Willow the story. It was a nice way to pass the time.
