STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

• [+] Somi is a considerable gymnast. A talent she's had from childhood which later benefited her dancing "career".
• [+] Somi has a very therapeutic personality. Many co-workers from her dancing days often spoke of how talking to her felt comforting and healing. Somi eventually became somewhat of an unlicensed/untrained therapist for many.

• [-] Somi's figure has several drawbacks. She is short, slender and pretty physically weak. Hand to hand combat is something she has to try her hardest to avoid.
• [-] Somi's is over compassionate. She believes in the goodness of others too much which can often be exploited.
• [-] Somi suffers from sever migraines. These can often be triggered by things like intensely bright lights or certain foods.

APPEARANCE:
Somi is a very classically beautiful girl. Her appearance was ideal for the dancing career she was forced in to. Somi is rather short, standing at roughly 5 feet and 3 inches. As a Rutian Twi'lek, Somi is blessed with lovely ocean blue skin. Lekku length varies widely among the Twi'lek with Somi having rather long ones.

PERSONALITY:
Although she has never been sure where it stemmed from, Somi has always been interested in the minds and feelings of others. She strives to see the best in people regardless of their affiliation. Despite being young, Somi always seems to develop the role of "agony aunt". A role she enjoys. Somi loves to talk to people and help them through their problems, see their worth and to show them how bright the galaxy can be.

BIOGRAPHY

Somi's parents and relatives believed Somi was destined for greatness. A bright and cheerful young girl with the universe at her fingertips. She was surely going to prosper in this opportunistic galaxy.
That was the dream, the hopes. As is always the case, there are the dreams...and then the reality. Somi's reality was one that was shared among many Twi'lek girls. A life of slavery.

Up until her teens, Somi lived a fairly happy and peaceful life in small rural settlement on Ryloth. Day to day life consisted of her helping her mother, relatives and friends. It was far from a luxurious life, but it was peaceful.

Of course peace is just an illusion in this galaxy. Despair is always around the corner. Somi found this out harshly when the goons of slimey a Hutt raided her town, killing many and capturing her and other girls. It was the last time she ever saw her parents.

Somi (only 15) and the other girls were taken to the Hutt's ship and forced into indentured servitude. Girls on the ship would work as maids until they reached the age of 18. When 18 the girls were given varying jobs from dancers to even mercenaries (for the ones who assimilated). For Somi, it was the former. Her gymnastic abilities were discovered early on during when her town was being spied on months before the raid.

Somi received an offer as soon as she turned 18. Dance and live a comfortable life with possible release in the future, or return to being a maid until she was no longer fit for duty with death as a conclusion. The choice was simple for Somi.

Somi spent 2 years working as a highly praised dancer aboard the Hutt's ship. Her dancing was graceful and always charmed the various inhabitants and visitors on board. Somi even once received personal praise from the Hutt who owned the ship.
Many of the staff aboard the ship were charmed by Somi, with one being especially smitten by her. A towering Zabrak named Kaylan, bodyguard to the Hutt who owned her. A romance between the two blossomed. It was a romance that had to be kept secret as staff were prohibited from dating the girls. Somi and Kaylan's relationship was the sliver lining of the cloud. It was with Kaylan that Somi had discovered her passion for talking to others in a healing manner.

The relationship between Somi and Kaylan was an intense one. The risk of being caught always plagued their mind, however it was a risk that was worth it. Somi learned at a young age that every time there is happiness, despair is not far behind and it will always catch up.

When Somi was 20, a rival gang attacked the ship she was aboard. This was the day she said goodbye to her life as a dancer...and to Kaylan. The Zabrak bodyguard was sworn to protect the Hutt, an oath considered unbreakable to him. Unbeknown to Somi, Kaylan had made a deal with a pilot on the ship that he would get her to safety if such an event ever happened. After a heartfelt goodbye, Somi was taken off the ship with the instructions of going as far away as possible to live a free life.
