Songsteel question

In order to obtain songsteel, I have to duel a force user character. Would a training duel between my padawan and I be acceptable?

It's less about the lethality of the duel and more about the effort put forth in writing. If you write a lethal duel filled with four-liner posts you'll be in less standing in comparison to a man fighting a training duel with twelve-liners. Lines aren't the only metric of effort of course, but you get the idea.

The work you put in is the work you get out. So yes, as long as it is full of quality posts.

OK, I only asked because getting in a duel with the OS characters I know would end up a disaster. And I mean for the writers, not just the characters
