- Undermounted Scattergun - A simple 8 gauge Scattergun is capable of being mounted to the forward of the weapon, just under the barrel. It is capable of holding 16 rounds, providing the individual utilizing the weapon with a secondary means of fire.

- Undermounted Scattergun - Often overlooked by those using the weapon until the last moment, the weapon's secondary weapon system consisting of an undermounted scattergun is useful in situations in which the overall weapon is otherwise a hindrance or of no real use. This ensures that those utilizing the weapon are capable of defending themselves in closer ranges that the semi-auto or even fully-auto firing system of the weapon is next to useless.
- Penetration - Due to the weapons barrel length and its high caliber round, the Dushkal Assault Rifle has been shown in testing to be capable of punching a hole through up to two inches of titanium.

- High Recoil - Due to its barrel length, coupled with its high caliber round, the weapon has a noticeable recoil when fired (enough that those who are not trained or otherwise unprepared for the recoil have been knocked prone from a semi-auto burst). This high recoil also often limits the usefulness of the weapon in certain situations and can also prove to be a liability to some in a battlefield situation.
- No Iron Sights - While some models are equipped with a sniper scope, the vast majority of the Dushkal Assault Rifle is produced without even basic iron sights. Thus the weapon greatly affects and reduces the marksmanship capabilities of those individuals utilizing the weapon.
- Proper Training - In order to properly utilize the weapon in any real combat situation or effectiveness, individuals utilizing the weapon must undergo proper training in the weapon's use.

In a time when the galaxy is on fire and conflicts arise with such frequency as the changing seasons on many worlds, weapons come and go. However those weapons that are often over looked are the slugthrowers, and as militaries across the galaxy seem to focus on defenses and protection against blasters, they often overlook the protection against slugthrowers.
Sorenn-Syrush Industries is proud to introduce the Dushkal Assault Rifle...
This heavy slugthrower is a capable weapon designed for use on the battlefield, though the rush to get the weapon into production and on that very field of battle has cause some design flaws to come to light. Specifically that the weapon lacks a means to properly aim (lacking even basic iron sights) unless it is one of the few that are equipped with a sniper scope. This can cause an individuals marksmanship capabilities to be greatly affected and reduced. Coupled with its heavy recoil (which is enough to even cause a Wookiee to drop to one knee) and the weapon shows problems before its true capabilities are revealed.
However; even with those flaws, its versatility and capabilities on the battlefield set a balance. Its barrel length coupled with the high caliber round ensure that the weapon is capable of punching a hole through up to two inches of titanium (effectively making the round into an armor-piercing one). Likewise its additional undermounted scattergun provides those utilizing the weapon with a means to continue fighting in a close quarters combat situation where the rifle itself might otherwise be hazardous to use.
