  • 10 mm Round

----------------------------------------------------------------
..:: Special Features ::..
----------------------------------------------------------------
  • Iron Sights - basic aiming apparatus

Strengths:
  • The use of the 10 mm round as its primary ammunition provides the weapon with considerable stopping power (though not on par with a standard blaster), it has the potential to stop a charging Wookiee... or just pissing it off.

  • Reliability means that the Predator I will keep firing even after being caked in mud and submerged in freezing water. This is due in part to the weapon's simplistic design and easy in which it can be broken down to keep the weapon clean and battle ready.

Weaknesses:
  • Some training is required to properly fire the weapon, as often seen by those accustomed to the kick (or lack there of) that comes with the use of Blaster weapons. This is mainly to ensure that the individual doesn't break their wrist while firing the weapon, or see its kickback slam the gun into their nose.

  • With much of the galaxy (save for the Outer Rim Territories) adopting the use of Blaster Weapons, the ammunition is difficult to procure when required. This often means that the individual needs to return to Sorenn-Syrush Industries to purchase additional ammunition, or find a means to manufacture it on their own.

  • A primary draw back of the weapon is partially due to its capability in selective firing. Testing of the weapon has shown that if the weapon is fired in rapid succession while switching between the firing modes, it has a tendency to overheat due to the continued friction of the internal mechanisms. This can potentially cause a weapon to either jam mid fire, or under greater stress, can potentially misfire or otherwise explode in one's hand.

..:: Description ::..
----------------------------------------------------------------

The Sorenn-Syrush Industries Predator I sidearm, another slugthrower in the companies continued line of weapons that sling lead. The Predator I is a sidearm meant to provide an individual with that extra power needed to stop a charging enemy. Though it is limited in its ammunition capabilities (holding a 12 round clip), its capability of semi-automatic fire or single action provides those that utilize the weapon with some option in terms of firing. Those that have trained extensively with the weapon are capable of switching between the two fire modes in rapid succession.

Much of its weaknesses come in the form of requiring some training with the weapon, as those more often accustomed to using Blasters may not be accustomed to its kickback; which can result in injury of the user. Likewise its ammunition is rare in a sense (at least in the Coreward Worlds), often causing buyers to return to Sorenn-Syrush Industries or setting up their own means of ammunition production.

For the most part the Predator I offers exactly what it was designed for; a sidearm that packs a punch for use in close quarters combat when a larger more unwieldy weapon would be a liability.

Both of these are weaknesses that will essentially only be written off-screen or assumed to have happened in between threads. That's fine, but there are no apparent drawbacks that will come into play in PvP. Please add at least one viable PvP weakness, and I'll stamp this.
