HISTORY
Born on the industrial city world of Cademimu V, in the territory that would become Korvan's remnant and the genesis of the Dark Empire, Sorren was part of an unassuming family of spacers settled as imperial laborers. It was their greatest honor that their son was gifted with Force sensitivity, and at five years old Sorren was given to the Imperial Force Corps to be raised and trained as an Imperial Knight. Yet for Sorren, his upbringing was never a honor, nor a point of pride.
Try as they might to remain above the politics of the fractured Empire, the Imperial Knights were sworn to an emperor who wasn't there and an ideal that had faded out. Growing up surrounded by true iron-hearted Imperials while seeing the warlords in power take more each year as the Empire crumbled had soured Sorren early on. The expected usage of his Force abilities in service of the Emperor grew almost farcical in his eyes by his teenage years as he began to understand the ways of the galaxy as a man. His dissatisfaction led to flirtation with the Darkside, which did not go unnoticed.
In an effort to keep the young knight from falling to the Darkside, he was taken to be trained as an Inquisitor, learning to control the Darkside as a tool for the Empire so as to not succumb totally to its grasp. After a couple years of this training, the Imperial remnant of Ignacious Korvan gained immense strength among the warlords cliques, and for the Imperial Knights it was a pivotal moment. Secretly led by the Sith, the remnant enticed or manipulated many of Sorren's peers into falling to the Darkside. Sorren, however, walking the line as he was, remained skeptical at the sudden changes, and sought to learn more.
The curious meddling of the young inquisitor did not go unheard for long, and the Sith Lord Darth Vinaze, a watchful set of eyes for the New Sith Order, discovered the brash young knight. Seeking a new apprentice for himself, someone to do his dirty work, he introduced Sorren to the Sith Code, which to the young man seemed to answer so many questions and right so many wrongs that he had felt as knight of the wayward Empire. Learning that he could fully accept the power of the Darkside and still serve the Empire that had been his home, he was engulfed in a passionate flame that he had once thought only attained by fools who did not see the Empire crumbling. But as the Dark Empire began to resurge, and sworn as a knight of the Sith who would help to lead it, Sorren felt as though his destiny was beginning...
