Private Sorry I Broke Your Investigation

Carida was a stronghold world with a strong military tradition. In recent months as hostilities between the Sith Empire, Galactic Alliance, and the New Imperial Order had been ramping up the Alliance had started to court the militaristic world, trying to coax them into joining them. Unfortunately for the Senate they were being stubborn as their neutrality and the strength of their fleets allowed them to help refugees and protect them from the NIO and the GA. Also unfortunate for Carida, reports of Sith defectors, dangerous Acolytes, Knights and Masters, smuggling themselves among the refugees to escape the merciless onslaught of the NIO had reached the Jedi Order.

Amos had only been on the planet for a week and he could already feel the taint they were making on the world. He sighed and pushed a stray braid from his face and tucked it back into his bun before making his way towards the most recent influx of refugees. Luckily for him, the New Jedi Order wasn't considered an arm of the military even if many of them served in the rank and file of the military. His deep brown eyes scanned the despondent faces of the men, women, and children that entered the star port as he reached out to the Force searching for the Dark Side. He would find it, and he would bring these Sith to heel and free Carida from their growing influence.

She watched them day and night as they congregated, as they whispered among themselves in secrecy and paranoia. They were unaware of the woman that had been trailing them since the day they arrived in the star port; wholly oblivious of the treachery their own shadows gave way to, allowing a cover in which Draulvesi stirred.

They felt themselves clever, but they were none the wiser; hunting Sith was her specialty, along with cleansing the galaxy of their wretched fingerprint so that none may be swayed by their siren song. Several reports of suspected occultism and murder had drawn the Jedi Shadow to this circumstance, and while some may cast judgement upon the Arkanian for not taking immediate action, there was a point to be made in understanding the enemy. It was not as simple as showing bravery and pride in war, but instead slicing the tendons so the body may not function as intended, but literally and metaphorically.

Clad in midnight duraplast, Draulvesi's gaze pierced through the HUD of her helm, scanning those present in the vicinity and referencing local records on file; a total count of seven falsified IDs. A scowl came over the Shadow's face as she continued to observe, every fiber of her being being tested as she desired nothing more than to break the monsters before her.

They felt they knew darkness and rage, yet they had not even come close to discovering them.

Soon, they would.

Amos yawned. He had been all for this when he arrived, but now...He knew why he was a Guardian. He was meant to be on the front lines fighting the Bryn'adul and the Sith Empire...Not watching refugees and common smugglers. He sighed, running a gauntleted hand through his locks, the durasteel clinking against the electrum rings in his hair.

"Hey! You! Stop!" Amos snapped back to attention as a flurry of black cloaks sprinted out of the formation. His sharp eyes managed to catch the glint of a lightsaber. AHA! FINALLY!

"Stop Sith!" Amos said, calling on the Force to leap after him. He whipped his lightsaber into his hand mid-air and landed with a snap-hiss as he ran after the man. Seeing the lightsaber the crowd split before him leaving Amos to easily manuever through the street. He was running? REALLY? He'd waited all these hours for...a CHASE?
