In a similar manner to the Jedi way, where every padawan builds their own lightsaber as part of their rite of passage to Knighthood, so to do the Deputies of the Judges Force path have to craft their signature weapons in order to become Sheriffs. In what has become an entirely different life, Carter Pierce crafted this weapon as his final rite of passage to becoming a Sheriff.
Carter studied the crafting of pistols closely and designed what he believed at the time would be the best weapon for himself. He decided to utilize a rare type of blaster energy perfected by the Chiss long ago, an energy type that imparts both kinetic and laser energy onto the target. Focused through the deep blue Hurrikane Crystal he had acquired for it, the stopping power of the maser bolt increased significantly. Wanting to keep the weapon agile in his hand, he opted out of utilizing a large power cell chamber, and instead went for a design that allowed for a limited number of shots, but a quick reload time. The finishing touches on the weapon were the highly polished Manganese Brass for the body of the weapon, and the deep luster of the Corellian Hardwood he worked into the grips.
