Strengths

He has had no rigorous training in the academy. And as such, this gives him something of naivety and inexperience with the force, and he occasionally finds it quite difficult to control, especially with his visions.[/SIZE]
Overly Attached to Tradition: In some sense, tradition is everything to Amur. Ever since he was a child, he was obsessed with the form and tradition of the ancients. This obsession may prove to be his downfall.
Appearance
[SIZE=11pt]Rarely will you find Souras Amur in anything other than a cloak and tunic - he stays clear from battle armor or anything of the kind - if you are lucky enough to gaze upon his appearance in the first place. His boots are worn and torn from trudging terrain in his constant wandering to and from new worlds. Amur is usually in hiding and/or solitude, and as such cares little for personal appearance. His hair, overgrown and shaggy, sits on his head like a mop, and his beard is unkempt and overgrown. His skin, due to the corruption of the dark side, has become pale and ghostly, almost giving him the resemblance of lifelessness. His eyes have also transformed into a dark yellow from his experiences with the dark side of the force. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]Amur has a rather slender built about him which is hidden beneath his cloak. This is partly intentional; without his cloak, his corruption has made his build appear slightly emaciated. [/SIZE]
Biography
[SIZE=11pt]Souras Amur was born on the remote planet of Batuu, and as a child he enjoyed the solitude and quiet of the planet. He was without a mother for as long as he could remember, and his father refused to explain what had happened to her when he received the inquiry. His father’s past was largely hidden from the boy, up until around the age of around 6 or 7. Near this time, Amur had began to experience painful, debilitating experiences involving visions of what seemed to be future happenings. This would be his first experiences with the Force. When his father had discovered this, he had no other choice but to explain what these visions meant. And soon, Souras was forced into a world he had never before new existed, a world his father had desperately tried to keep hidden from him.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]Souras’s father, in his old life, was an exiled Sith, cast out by his peers for questioning their teachings. Resigned to a life without future, he had settled down on Batuu and married a woman, birthing Souras. But like Amour, the man had kept his life hidden from the woman, and she had soon fleed her husband when she discovered his true past. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]When his father had discovered his true past, he had soon realized he had found his destiny in teaching the boy the ways of the force, by the only method he knew: the ways of the Dark Side. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]He taught Amur to control his abilities and harness them, and he soon found the boy to be enthralled by his teachings. Around the age of 17, he began to venture into as much material he could find. He seeped in as much knowledge as he could uncover, and became fascinated by ancient sith texts. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]All the while, visions of the future still plagued him. While he was slowly learning to control them, each new experience fractured his mind more. He soon found himself in a rabbit hole of mental instability; he became paranoid, enraged, and prone to mood swings.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]But Souras soon learned to take use of this unstable disposition, and feed off it. He only grew stronger as he fell deeper into madness.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]His experiences with the dark side soon made him corrupt. He grew slender and seemingly frail, with a vampiric palor. His father grew to worry the effects these teachings were having on his son, and he soon made the decision to discontinue their teachings. But Souras felt himself ready. Following the ancient sith tradition, he picked the right moment, and killed his father in his sleep. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]After his advancement past his apprenticeship, he soon left the planet of Batuu and began and endless quest to acquire more knowledge and skill. Upon hearing of the reconstitution of the sith empire, Amur had soon found himself rejecting the name of the Sith; he did not wish to be associated with what he thought would be the ruin of all of the traditions set place before them. He found the empire to be a rejection of true Sith teachings, and found it more prudent to set himself on his own path and guide himself towards his own destiny.[/SIZE]
