Tumbleweed
Jessa paced back and forth in the cavernous hangar bay -- a literal cavern. It had served the same purpose for the rebels, long ago. And the wide mouth of the cave still had the protection of a blast-shielded false rock face. While it did indeed look like the side of a mountain, she'd assured Master Valery Noble that she'd be able to pass through.
The sword of the Jedi, Jessa thought. Am I mad?
She'd extended an invitation to the well-known Master Jedi, an invitation to an 'enclave.' Though, it wasn't really that yet... not quite. It was her hope that it would become a place of peace for the Rimward Jedi and their allies -- Salvation, perhaps, like the name this place had been given by the rebels. Arbra was heavily forested, but it seemed to invite this sort of operation: an innocent forest world seemingly devoid of tech, hidden away.
At the moment, there wasn't a lot to see. However, she hoped the Jedi Master might offer her some much needed insight about starting and keeping an enclave. It was an undertaking like nothing else she'd ever done. Privately, she was worried that the weight of doing so might crush her in the process. Jessa had attained the rank of master, but many might have mistaken her for an older Knight. She was clumsy, sheepish, and she seemed to bumble about without any sort of plan. How had this eccentric woman become a master? Well, Jessa wondered about that every day.
She'd packed a picnic lunch that she could enjoy with Valery today; it was always nicer to break bread with company.
And Jessa hoped that this was only the beginning.
