Space stations

I was thinking making a charcter, so rich he could build a space station, for this thread. Though it need be strong enough, to stop a republic or sith fleet in it`s tracks, is some thng like that, but stuck in space. allowed?

That really depends on the size of the fleet we're talking about here. A small fleet of 4,000m or less? Sure. You can probably pack enough guns, armor, and support craft on a 2,000m space station to run off a small fleet easily enough. But a 'standard fleet' of 10,000 - 20,000 meters in length? Nope.

I think you'd need an awesome dev thread. When I built my last space station I remember the RPJ IMing me on Skype and asking many questions about its use. I'd be careful not to make it overpowered, which can be a fine line.

As long as you have a descriptive, creative, and overall interesting and detailed development thread or two to go along with it, you're good to go. You're probably wanting a space station that's unique, and given the quality of your dev thread(s), the judging staffer might even allow you a little more elbow room when it comes to armaments and features. Just as long as you've put effort into it, the general concept isn't illogical, and it offers more roleplay opportunities, it'll more than likely be approved.

The whole point of station is, it would be a diplomatic hub.
I will see what happens, with interest thread before starting it.

Well, on Wookieepedia, it states that a Fleet (Republic Navy) is consisted of 100-300 warships, not including support units. That's A LOT of firepower against a space station.
