SPECIAL FEATURES
- Adjustable speed
- Seperate thrusters for direction control.
- Capable of multiple bursts of airtime equaling 10-20 minutes of airtime on one tank of fuel depending on velocity/weight/air currents.
Strengths:
- One button ignition - efficient ignition for reliable use of the Elysium Marine Corps
- Easy to control - Seperate thrusters for direction, capable of quick bursts of speed
- Quick cooldown - Heat dampners inside not only keep the wearer from feeling the heat, but also allow a quick cooldown to prevent overheating.
- Takes a little damage - titanium armor is thicker than original prototype “Ol’ Sparky”
Weaknesses:
- Limited airtime - Due to the size of it's fuel tank, it cannot fly for extended periods.
- Heavy - titanium armor is thicker than the “Ol’ Sparky” original prototype, making it heavier.
- Slower - heavier armor casing combined with armoured space suits of the Elysium Marine Corps makes these jet packs slower than the average jet packs.
DESCRIPTION
The result of an investment made by Rho’burt’chistagh of the Elysium Empire, the “Sparky” Mk IV M-series Jet Packs was the first ever exclusive product made by Mandal Arm Corporation for the Elysium Empire. The design was extrapolated and reverse engineered from Loreena Aranias’s own personal jet pack that she made herself.
The basic internal systems are made to the same basic concept but 2 major changes were made. First, the Chrome Plated steel was replaced with a thicker wall of titanium armor. This sacrificed speed for combat durability. The second change was simply a logistical choice; the internal components were made more modular and interchangeable for ease of military maintenance.
Mks I, II, and III were considered test-beds pre-production to get the manufacturing process just right and maintenance requirements within military specifications. The Mk IV is the final iteration and is now standard issue in the Elysium Empire Marine Corps
