Special Forces

So I was thinking of implementing the Jedi Shadows, and be one of a few teachers. As one who plays a neutral aligned Jedi, that turned away from the dark side, I was wondering about spearheading this. Let me know what you all think.

Yeah or nay?

TJA is open to a wide variety of teachings for Jedi. So long as you maintain a Lightside approach, we encourage those of sufficient rank (Knight or Master) to teach the newer generation the skills that will help them further themselves.

If you are seeking to open a new House within the Academy I would recommend getting a group together and setting things up IC. While we do not -require- new Houses to be submitted to Codex as locations, it is encouraged to do so in order to legitimize their position within the Academy and to help your fellow writers know their environment and what it has to offer.

I would recommend looking at the present standing houses and start working on a write-up for what you are seeking to do which will include location, specific skills taught, etc.

If you aren't looking to create a House and just want to head up a new group of writers, go for it! Just make sure you aren't bringing Darkside powers into the Academy. Consequences will be swift!

For the Jedi Shadows the students will have to be introduced to dark side powers. While they will not be trained in using them. They need the familiarization in order to prevail in combat. Shadows understand both the Dark and Light, however stay inherently loyal to order through peace, And like Guardians, they are extremely skilled in the blade in fact moreso. If you look at Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin was the more skilled swordsman, he took an unconventional path with his fighting that was an upgrade to how Obi-Wan fought. Obi-Wan was just the more experienced, and didn't get cocky about being strong.

They also have the force mastery of a Consular. While not as strong as Yoda, they would be able to last in a force match against some Sith Lords with ease.

Jedi Shadows if successfully trained (some cannot handle the rigor and fall to the dark side) have an extremely high resistance to the dark side and are near immune to mental alteration.

Just to repeat Master Eden:

"TJA is open to a wide variety of teachings for Jedi. So long as you maintain a Lightside approach, we encourage those of sufficient rank to teach the newer generation the skills that will help them further themselves."

Enjoy! :D
