STRENGTHS
- Flying Fortress: While possessing no offensive weaponry or it's own, Gehinnom is capable of weathering the mightiest of assaults. This is due to both it's extensive armor plating and shielding.
- Hollow to the Core: Gehinnom possesses a hollow interior that houses the great makeshift cityscape housing the Brotherhood's holy city. If a vessel managed to enter the hallowed sphere via the same method as the Rebels managed to destroy the DS-2 after disabling their shields, they would have little to no trouble flying over the urban zones to the main reactor and destroy it. Thus they would bring down the entire worldcraft in one fell swoop.
DESCRIPTION
Special Project WC-4 Habitation Sphere was a top-secret mobile artificial planetoid created by the Galactic Empire's Imperial Department of Military Research over the Maw Installation. The project was commissioned by Emperor Palpatine and intended to be used by him as a worldcraft/storehouse in his obsession with seeding the Unknown Regions with devices and structures. The WC-4 was outfitted with advanced systems for it's time, and even was equiped with a railspeeder system for quick decisive movement through the superstructure.
Sadly, while made operational, the worldcraft had been unfinished by the time of the Galactic Empire's demise at the hands of the New Republic. The worldcraft construction efforts were abandoned and the prototype vessel found itself exchanging hands between various warlords before it was ultimately stashed away in the Maw Cluster not far from where it originated. Centuries passed with the station falling into disrepair from lack of use before it was discovered by heathen pilgrims worshipping an obscure text known as the 'Scripture of the Hidden Maw'. Taking it for their own, the heathens brought it into the depths of the Unknown Regions where they would lay the ground work for a future society known as the Brotherhood of the Maw.
Extensively modified over the last century, the worldcraft was overpopulated by marauding warbands and heretic, creating a cityscape across the hollowed interior of the vessel. Various retrofits and repairs have brought the station to galactic standards and restored the vessel to near it's former glory. It now serves as the mobile spiritual center for the Brotherhood of the Maw and the heart of their fleet, housing the holy text known as the Scripture of the Holy Maw. Each zealot of the Brotherhood would fight till the last man to protect the bastion of violence it has become.
