Speed Dom: Aeten II vs the Mandalorians

Turns out the Mandalorians have decided to dom the planet Aeten II. For those who don't know, it's smack dab right beside one of our tentacles. They're tryin to cut us off and give themselves some room. Can't have that, can we?

All hands on deck for this one. The Sith Assassins'll be leading the charge with a raid on some Stygium (We need it) but there's still plenty to do. List goes as follows.

  • Objective 1: Get the Stygium. Due to Chaos's timeline, the planets no longer destroyed. Meaning there are plenty of refineries here. Sith Assassins, look to this one.

  • Objective 2: Kill the Rebels! We all know rebels have been an issue everywhere. There's some stationed throughout the planet. Make sure they remember even outside our territory, the terrorirsts aren't safe.

  • Objective 3: Do your own thing
Suggestions are welcome, but expect the thread up shortly.

Keep in mind, the planet is more or less dry of stygium. Jon did a location sub to explain it, but I think ~99.9% of all stygium is gone from the planet. That said, I have no idea where that submission is.

Why drill....just explode the planet and collect the fragments as they faithfully float toward Sith held space...stygium is loyal like that. If you need proof....I'll wookie it for ya. :)

The submission demands the cooperation of the Mandalorians.

Who are no longer in control, and haven't been.

Deep mining is a valid way to get it, so I'm not worried.

99.9% of the stygium in the asteroids are gone though. So there is that.

Just wanna point this part out:

At the current time, all reasonably available stygium mines on the planet have been exhausted and their contents removed from Aeten II by various Mandalorian clans and corporations. All potential stygium mines have been investigated. The planet is ecologically wrecked. Stygium can only be procured by negotiating with the Mandalorians, stealing from the Mandalorians, or obtaining permission from the Mandalorians for a long-term drilling operation in hopes of finding a very deep source. The system is highly secured, as it has been raided many times.
Take out the Mandalorian stuff, the guarded stuff, the patrols stuff real fast and focus on the facts in there. There's no stygium warehouses, not stores or caches. The mines currently in existence are depleted and the planet is more or less shot ecologically. Under Mando control you had to trade or steal from the mandos or get permission for long term drilling operations to find a deep source of it. Maybe.

You'd get stygium, but very, very little. Even with hundreds of posts of dev, the best I feel you'd get from my personal thoughts on it regardless of who has the planet would be limited at best, but that's just me.

It's almost all gone. Drilling for more means that, eventually, someone's gonna say it's not there anymore. At that point it's just another planet.

Its been out of Mondo control long enough for there to be a stable Dee mining operation.

The submission is old in my eyes, and doesn't represent the endless things that could have happened after Netherworld.

It was also stated by Tefka in the same thread that if the planet is listed as a source of Stygium in the Restricted Materials section, it's viable for mining. I personally checked and it is still listed as a source. So we should be good for mining.
