- Long-range communication. If the Force exists in the area, these spheres can connect with each other so that the holders can speak to one another. This process is near-instantaneous like most modern technological analogues.
- Eye of Judgement. Sardun cannot be everywhere at once. Through these spheres it is possible for him to possess other holders temporarily, using their eyes to see, their voice to speak and their bodies to act. This is rather taxing however and usually cannot be done for a prolonged amount of time.
- Well of Strength. The spheres from a network between the holders, allowing them to draw from it to boost their strength and stamina. They can go on for longer, push past the limits of their bodies and stretch the boundaries the Force puts on them.
- Amplifier: serves as an amplifier through a vast Galaxy. Through these tools Sardun's band can remain in contact with one another and help each other, even if they are not near at that exact time.
- Force-forged: Highly resistant to normal physical damage.
- Unsliceable: Unlike technological analogues the communication of these spheres cannot be easily sliced or intercepted.
- Force-forged: Within force-null fields the Spheres become nothing more than a pretty paperweight.
- Darkside: Strong Darkside powers can damage or even destroy a sphere.
- Resonance: The destruction of one sphere can cause a cascade effect through the rest of its network. Depending on the severity of the attack this can disable numerous holderes at the same time.
"Together we are strong. The Darkside seeks to divide us. Through these objects... we will never remain far from one another."
The Galaxy is a vast place and conflicts rage from one side of it to the other.
It is impossible to always be in the same location at all times. Their responsibilities differ, their missions push them apart more often than not. Sardun realized it was often in those moments that he lost his companions and warriors the most. This was the reason he forged the Spheres of Judgement. It allowed him to come to the assistance of those in need when they needed it most. In addition to that, they could all tap each other's knowledge, their wisdom when necessary.
Additionally Sardun realized that sometimes mere words weren't enough.
Sometimes it was necessary to be somewhere no matter what.
While part of him was concerned by the implications, the Jedi Master pushed onward, knowing that mere considerations of ethics weren't enough. Not when the Darkside plagued this Galaxy and hurt those around him at all times.
The Spheres of Judgement were born.
Hopefully nobody would ever regret holding one.
