STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

[ + ] Spinara-Class LAAVs were durable and well-rounded combat airspeeders, configurable both for direct action and more subtle peacekeeping activities. Locals fear them. Contractors love them.
[ - ] Spinara-Class LAAVs were slow and unwieldy compared to other militarized airspeeders and starships. They were designed for use against ground-based targets, not other aerial vehicles.

DESCRIPTION

The Spinara-Class Low Altitude Aerial Vehicle was a militarized airspeeder favored by the Silver Shield Group. It was named after a plateau on the planet Carida. The Spinara-Class was designed by the research and development division of the Silver Shield Group, though manufacturing was contracted out to the HumSec Consortium. Many of its support systems were manufactured separately by Jaeger Solutions.
There were two variants of the Spinara-Class: "assault" and "surveillance."
The LAAV/a was the primary airborne fighting vehicle of the Silver Shield Group. Because the Silver Shield primarily operated in zones where air-superiority was already secured, the LAAV/a held armaments geared primarily towards destroying and disrupting ground-based targets, particularly heavy vehicles and infantry.
It was also frequently utilized for rapid-response deployment and secure transport for high-value cargo or VIPs.
The LAAV/s served as an intelligence-gathering platform for various counterinsurgency operations, quietly monitoring streets and surveilling local communications. It was lightly armed compared to the LAAV/a, but possessed a robust array of surveillance equipment.
The sound-dampening field allowed it to operate quietly at night. This was ostensibly to keep it from disturbing the locals, but it also made it a favorite to employ during clandestine nighttime raids.
All Spinara-Class LAAVs were known for their robust communication and targeting systems. This ensured minimal collateral damage and extraneous casualties during operations. They also featured an on-board AI assistant to prevent unauthorized individuals from operating the LAAV, in addition to providing assistance to pilots and gunners. Cybernetically augmented operators were able to interface directly with the Spinara-Class, giving them a much more precise degree of control over the vehicle.

Very nicely made and cool vehicle!
  • You cannot use the HumSec Consortium as Manufacturer, without Andrew's permission, so please ask this from him.
  • And your ratings are underpowered, the LAAV/a is -2, the LAAV/s is -3; If you want, you can edit these.
