- The ship is built for Squib, so full-sized humanoids will find it cramped and uncomfortable.
The Squib Scout Ship is the ship Squib most often use to find and collect salvage in the vast expanses of the galaxy. Often hunting near disaster zones and battlegrounds, they have equipped their ships with excellent defenses and have even turned their tractor systems into potent weapons that can mount a surprising challenge against hostiles. The role where the ships truly shine are in their salvage capacity, as there are few ships in their size class that can strip a ship for parts as efficiently. They tear off chunks with their Tensor cannons, draw them in, cut them into useful components with cutting lasers, and then pull them into the cargo hold for later repair, packaging, and resale.
While the Squib are willing to sell these ships to interested parties, they are most comfortable for short humanoids who average 1-1.2 meters, as taller humanoids will find them cramped and uncomfortable. The ships often use hydraulic circuitry to protect against piracy and electrical discharges from malfunctioning but still energized starship components. This is effective protection against Ion and electrical effects, but requires frequent maintenance. Fortunately, most Squib actually enjoy performing maintenance.
The ship is designed so that lone Squib adventurers can make their fortunes (tithing appropriately to the Squib Merchandising Consortium) but it does have accommodation for additional crew or even a droid helper to make salvage operations more efficient.
