DESCRIPTION
A light freighter purposed for orbital garbage collection or hauling refuse, the SR-42 Heavy Trawler was produced on Ardru by the Squib Reclamation operation active on that world and was primarily marketed to the Squib Reclamation Fleet. The ship featured durasteel construction, with the cargo section being reinforced with agrinium to shield any hazardous or radioactive materials. This made it ideal for hauling away used power cores, hyperdrive cores, or other starship components that were likely to house irradiated components or fuel residue. A civilian vessel, it carried a light laser cannon for the purpose of breaking up large pieces of debris.

The SR-42 could be operated by a single pilot, but the ideal crew compliment would be pilot, copilot/navigator, and a flight engineer/load master. It was not intended to ferry passengers and was uncomfortable with a full three person crew. Most Squib who piloted these stated that they believed a two-person compliment was the right size for this craft.

Cool sub again! I would like to ask you to add the following parts to the template. These are not part of the pre-made fields but still important part of the template:
  • Hangar Space: (Please provide the amount of fighters/support craft this submission can hold in it's hangar by count of Squadrons, which hold 12 average Starfighters. The higher your squadron count, the lower your Armament and number of advanced systems should be. )
50m [Base: 0 | Very Low: 0 | Low: 0 | Average: 0 | High: 0 | Very High: 0 | Extreme: 0 ]
100m [Base: 0 | Very Low: 0 | Low: 0 | Average: 0 | High: 0 | Very High: 1 | Extreme: 2 ]
200m [Base: 0 | Very Low: 0 | Low: 0 | Average: 1 | High: 2 | Very High: 3 | Extreme: 4 ]
  • Hangar Allocations: (This is the allocated amounts of starfighters and support craft (dropships, shuttles, gunships, etc) this submission can hold in its hangar based on the maximum hangar space capacity listed above)
    • Starfighters: x squadrons
    • Support Craft: x squadrons
  • Single Craft Hangar: (Does this ship have a hanger for a single fighter craft to be docked? Please choose either Yes or No. This field does not need to be taken into account when balancing but should be included in the strengths and weaknesses.)
Hyperdrive: (Does this ship have a hyperdrive? If this ship has a hyperdrive how fast is it? The lower the number, the faster the ship is, you may choose decimals. Any speed below 1.0 requires the hyperdrive to be added to the ship’s strengths and accordingly balanced with weaknesses. Links: Hyperdrive, Hyperdrive Comparisons)
