DESCRIPTION
The prototype for the SR7-45 Refurbished Loader Droid was used on Denon during the Four Corners incident. Following the impounding of his ship and the loss of his family business, the Squib entrepreneur-turned-extremist known as Under Foot replaced the droid brain of a labor droid with that of a battle droid that had been unearthed in Denon's landfill. That prototype provided security for the Squib as Darkwire was forced underground.

Expanding on that proof of concept, discarded assassin droids were sought out for the next phase of the project. Going into production, the refurbished Class IV droid brains were then inserted into the bodies of common loader droids and their chassis renewed with recycled durasteel. Wrist blasters manufacturered in house were then integrated into the forearm assembly, with targeting sensors integrated into the droid's optical sensors. Motion tracking was also integrated into the design. Due to the weight and limitations of physical design of a loader droid frame, these droids had a lumbering gait that limited their speed over ground.

The SR7-45 were often deployed as covert security in industrial and freight environments, where they blended in with labor droids typically found in those environments, but were capable of being given independent assignments.
