Auction SSB Auction : The Mystery Box

After nineteen years since his very first Southern Systems auction, he was back. Not only to bid, that was a given, but in an odd twist of fate, to host. Typically the workload would have fell on the Queen of Trade but this time others had taken up the mantle and spread the work of hosting and running an auction of this scale.

Taking the stage, he offered a smile to the crowd, giving a wave as he moved to speak. He struggled not to slip his hands into his black pants, working to give himself an air of being at ease and relaxed. In a way, he was, yet at the same time there was the nagging feeling at the back of his mind not to let down his mother-in-law.

“Welcome to the SSB Mystery Auction! I hope everyone is doing well so far and a few credits lighter."

Behind him the screen illuminated with question marks, a playful call to the nature of a mystery auction. Unlike the others, the items were often less serious, more of a way to cap off a busy time spending credits and making new connections.

“We have a few lots today up for bid. I trust everyone is ready to bid? Without further adieu.”

Lot M1 , Category : Force Artifact
Lot M2, Category : Ranged Weapon
Lot M3, Category : Force Artifact
Lot M4, Category : Experience (All proceeds to charity, Arkuhn Medical)
Lot M5, Category : 10% Ownership Space Station ( All proceeds to charity, Arkuhn Medical )

Auction Rules :
  • Auction ends November 22nd at 12AM EST
  • An auction's end time must be set when the auction begins.
  • Bids must increase by reasonable increments. Large jumps may be subject to refusal.
  • Minimum bid accepted for items up to 999,000 credits is 100.
  • Minimum bid accepted for items over 1,000,000 credits is 1,000.
  • Bids of goods, services, favors, etc. will be taken as legitimate bids and may receive preference over monetary bids, per the seller's prerogative.
  • No outrageous bids.
  • Like a merchant in the Marketplace, an auctioneer is responsible for verifying that bidders can afford their bids. Auctioneers can ignore bids at their discretion if they feel a bidder cannot afford to pay dubious bids.
  • Bidders who feel their bid was unfairly ignored can appeal to RPJs and/or Company Factory Judges for help.
  • Bidders who spam, attack other bidders, or generally make themselves a nuisance to the bidding in general will be asked to leave. Continued behavior after a polite warning will be reported to SWRP: Chaos RPJs.
Standard SWRP: Chaos Rules are in effect at all times. Failure to comply with these rules will warrant RPJ and/or Admin action upon the individual(s) responsible.

It was that time of year again, South Systems Business Bizarre Boutique Extravaganza. Brooke was always keeping an eye on that, mostly because of exactly what she was seeing today, not one, not two, but three Force artifacts for sale? Brooke had to see what was going on with that. Opting to trade her blue witch robes in for a lighter blue dress. Her typical field enchantments were swapped for more elegant and position appropriate bangles, one with a Selab tree on it.

The blonde was tagged as a Developer for Starchaser Enterprises, which wasn’t a lie, she did help with the Starchaser Workshop line. The blonde was given a decent stipend, and between that and her Witch roles, was well off.

But today, she wanted to check it out. She had a mission to keep to. Sitting down she awaited to see where people were bidding, and wanted to get a feel for what everything was, or had the potential to be.

The mystery auctions might be one of the most fun aspects of the SSB... the expo was always great true... and the other auctions saw many bringing out their best or most unique. She was looking at the auction items and artifacts were one thing... Sasori could make plenty. She slid a finger over the display as it was coming up and over her interface. Offering for the fifth lot M5.... one of their Saotome Vatta systems. It was an advanced planetary power plant with a higher value. THey could offer several bars of aurodium as well which would go good for charity. The 10 percent stock in the station was an investment in thefuture.

Makai Dashiell Makai Dashiell
1 vatta power plant or 10 aurodium ingots (3 billion credit value) on Lot M5

My finger slides across the screen of my datapad, the remote weapon might interest me, not me directly but I know a friend who'd be willing to pay the price.
"35,543 Credit" for lot number M2, after checking that the sum was correct I validate my bid. Although I could do it myself, I also love collecting weapons of all kinds. I'm hoping to pick up something exotic.
