- Droid Armored Frame - The Droid Sentry can use incoming energy to power it
- Communication Module - The Droid Sentry can communicate in many languages like a protocol droid
- No Lightsabers - The Droid Sentry has no defense against lightsaber wielding foes
- Slow and Bulky - The Droid Sentry was designed with stability in mind, although that makes it rather slow and bulky.
The SSU-13 Droid Sentry was designed by the newly reformed Corporate Alliance to act as a debt collector and enforcer for the organization on its member-worlds. With its advanced technological capabilities and bulky design, the droid is well suited to defend the Corporate Alliance Directorate and its holdings within the galaxy.
Tasked with maintaining order and ensuring financial obligations were met, the SSU-13 Droid Sentry quickly became a symbol of power and control within the alliance, its presence alone often enough to deter any potential dissent or insubordination. It was mass-produced for the open-market soon afterwards, becoming used by a wide variety of criminal syndicates and other corporate organizations.
