Welcome to 2018, Chaos!
We're all familiar with online petitions and whatnot. The whole: "if this reaches x amount of signatures, the White House makes a response of some kind" deal. What I'd like to suggest is that our beloved staff gives the community a similar guarantee. Suggestions are thrown around all the time, but with the exception of those championed by legendary members, they kind of fizzle out with no movement. We don't know if they're being discussed upstairs. We don't know if they're being considered, or if they've been forgotten overnight.
So, what I'd like is for our staff to say "hey, get this many votes in the positive and we'll put up a discussion about this in the staff forum."
That's it. I'm not asking for the staff to vote on it and immediately implement the suggestion after, say, thirty votes or whatever. I just want our members to know, for certain, that their ideas aren't being lost the second they get buried by new threads. As for how much support an idea needs before it's taken upstairs to discuss, I'd like to say at least twenty posts in the positive. You can go Major for less - so why not reward a solid idea with a discussion upstairs?
