Necromancy: Infused with the Sith Spell Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut
Strengths:
Reanimate the Dead: The staff can raise up to three corpses (in any numerical combination).
Darkside Users: Can only be used by those who follow the ways of the Darkside.
Slight Increase to Darkside Strength: When the Force energy is refilled, the holder experiences a slight increase to their Darkside strength lasting no more than five minutes, amplifying the use of Darkside related powers but not those considered neutral (such as Force Jump, Force Barrier). But only when the holder's energy is completely filled.
Weaknesses:
Force Drain: If the holder activates the staff, the staff literally drains the holder of his or her entire Force energy for a period of ten minutes, allowing it to refill slowly over time.
Light Vulnerability: With all artifacts of the Darkside, this staff is susceptible to being destroyed or heavily damaged by Force Light.
Line of Sight / Range: The staff can only raise the dead if the holder can see the bodies and has a range of 3 meters.
Replenishment: At any time the staff is used when undead are in play, the previous undead return to their natural state in order to allow for fresh walking corpses.
DESCRIPTION
Over seven thousand years ago, the Sith sorcerer known as Dathka Graush created a staff to assist him in becoming the greatest necromancer of the known galaxy. The staff, created through Sith Alchemy, infused with the Sith spell known as Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut, and partial fragments of his removed heart, aided the necromancer up to his death. The staff, despite it's purpose, also incurred fear into his enemies keeping them from openly challenging him and becoming a mindless minion to Dathka Graush. To further add to it's fear inducing aspect, the top half of the staff was decorated with a ebony songsteel ornament of a Krayt dragon.
The staff when called into service could raise up to three corpses but at the cost of surrendering his Force energy for ten minutes, gradually filling up but at a much slower rate than normal. Despite this drawback of it's use, when the Force energy is fully restored, and only when it's fully restored, the caster is granted a five minute increase to their Darkside prowess. However, whenever the staff is called into use the whole process begins whether or not the caster takes advantage of the heighten strength and any walking undead in service die to make room for replacements.
After the death of Dathka Graush, it was believed the staff was either destroyed or lost. During a trip to the planet of Endor, Darth Plagueis still Apprenticed to Darth Tenebrous discovered the staff hidden among an ancient temple once created by Darkside worshipers. Despite his Master's warning to leave it, the Muun took it as a keepsake. Once the Muun killed his Master and claimed the title of Dark Lord for himself, he began collecting artifacts associated with the Darkside keeping them locked away in his fortress on Sojourn.
After the death of Darth Plagueis, his fortress fell into ruin and was plundered repeatedly by scavengers and salvagers. However, the staff remained unclaimed and 'hidden' from the eyes of the looters until it deemed one worthy enough to reveal itself.
