- Heads Up Display
- The four lights at the front of the SEBH are like low-level eyes, they're constantly scanning the environment and overlaying helpful details about the world on the wearer's HUD. From bullet casings
- Filters
- The SEBH creates a seal between the wearers head and the atmosphere, able to maintain internal pressure even in the vaccuum of space. Furthermore, the SEBH comes equipped with toxin filters and an breath-pack in the chin. Highly potent or complex toxins will get through the filters, but most common strands will be cycled through the system. The breath-pack can sustain a wearer for up to thirty minutes if submerged or not in a breathable atmosphere, but is only to be used for emergencies.
- Retractable Face
- The SEBH is designed to be quickly accessible in a high-stress situation. Layered, segmented faceplates are mobile enough to alter on the spot to swap with another piece if damage is sustained. A biocoded tap from the wearer on either side of the headpiece will fully retract all plates off the face and top of the head. Ear and rear head portions of the SEBH do not retract or shrink down in any way.
- Lightweight and Easily Stored
- The SEBH does not weigh very much, and the mobile faceplates make it easy to store as it shrinks the overall profile
- Adaptable
- The SEBH is fully functional in most naturally occurring environments, excluding underwater ones
- Low-Light Clarity
- The SEBH is finely tuned to increase any source of light and can compensate for nearly all light levels.
- Step-Above
- For a piece light armor, the SEBH is deceptively tough. It's solid construction ensures it can take a hit, and the mobile plates in the face allow the user to shuffle around damaged armor plates.
- Flash-Blind
- The SEBH functions in low-light but amplifying existing sources of light. A sudden increase in intensity, like from a flashlight aimed at the face, will briefly overload the compensation system and cause the high-intensity light to be amplified, potentially blinding the wearer temporarily
- Lacking Insulation
- Portions of the SEBH (like the HUD and mobile armor elements) rely on micro-electronics, potent electric currents or Ion energy can fry the system and render them inoperable until the system reboots
- The SEBH also does not feature very good insulation against cold envrionments or cryo-based weaponry
- Aural Vulnerability
- The SEBH does not contain any standard measures to counteract high intensity noises
- Lacking Communications
- The SEBH does not feature a built in communications system, though it does include universal attachments for one
Built first for a mercenary group that requested a multi-environmental headgear to compliment their light skirmishing troops, the SEBH has become a battle-proven purchase for those looking for a sturdy piece of light armor. From small-world detectives to professional soldiers, people around the galaxy can find use for an SEBH. Easily integrated into most light armors due to it's independent sealing of the wearer's head, the SEBH makes a cost-effective, slim-profile choice for those who expect to be going up against conventional small arms and weaponry on any planet.
