Star-fighters [Space Comabt]

Alot of fleeting in threads are mainly focused on the big bad capital ships. You know the ones with massive destructor weapons and what not. But what about the regular fighters? I was looking at wiki for ship ideas and came across how star-fighters organized in a squad could successfully disable a larger ship by hitting weak points or do some serious damage depending on the attack.

On Chaos the starfighters in my opinion seem under utilized and kinda irreverent. Why?

I know my Wookie is a fighter pilot. He has his own squadron of Elite fighters. I've used him a couple times. Fighters NOT in a squadron and trying to take out or even do any real damage to a capitol ship would just fail.
