Star Wars Chaos: The Rule of Two

OOC Writer Account
When I signed up to Chaos in September 2013, I instantly wanted to begin a story centered around two Sith, who believed and followed the Rule of Two. I envisioned that, later down the line, I would have been the catalyst to the resurrection of the Order of the Sith Lords on this website, which like the original canon, would enjoy a rich and colourful history centered on the Rule of Two, with a linage of Sith Lords that would trace back to my character.

The writers who know me best on this website are fully aware that I've never been proactive on the website. Despite accumulating up to 4k posts, added together from all my characters, I can't say that I am one of the household names on the website. For the characters that everyone knows and loves, such as the [member="Darth Vornskr"]s or [member="Danger Arceneau"]s, their fame and stories are well deserved because they have put the time and effort into them.

I bring up the aforementioned because as writers, the threads that they post in or create and the content they generate in these threads are widely read by the majority of the board. Whether you see the surname Zambrano or a company / product produced by Arceneau Trade Company, you associate their characters to the name. They've created their own slice of legacy on the board, that will never be forgotten. There are loads of other characters, writers and so on that are too many to name, but I think you get the point.

Two years and seven months later, the progression of the Rule of Two has been slow. Initially, I wanted to write the progenitor to it as [member="Vilox Pazela"], my first ever character that I ever wrote in Star Wars fanon. I was brought to the website by [member="Kyra Sol"] and initially, her character [member="Kära Vi'dreya"] was supposed to be the Sith Apprentice, but Kara and Pazela went in different directions and my initial plans were put on the shelf.

Forward a few months after my arrival on the website, the Sith Empire was infamously destroyed in 2014 (837 ABY IC). I was a Sith Lord at the time of the Empire's collapse. Putting my initial plans on the shelf, I wanted to contribute to the faction without hindering it with the premise that I would one day try and destroy it, as the Rule of Two would require. But with the Empire gone and the founding of the One Sith, I transferred another character to Chaos in the form of [member="Darth Ayra"].

When I begun writing Ayra on Chaos, I did it with the intention of beginning the Order of the Sith Lords. My initial request for her to be giving the Master tag upon transference was denied. As a Sith Knight character, I would need help in forming the Rule of Two and so I get in contact with the writer of [member="Circe Savan"]. I did this because Savan's writer was on the fringes of the community at the time and as someone who has experienced what it is like in that same position, I wanted to help them get back into the thick of things.

I reasoned that as a character, Savan as despised by all Sith and Jedi, so what better way than for her to get her revenge on them by being the progenitor to the Sith Order that would destroy them all? Of course, the logistics of destroying the Jedi and Sith on this website is near impossible, with the rules in place and the fact that a characters death is rare, but there was still the In Character premise for it to be done.

And so, for the majority of my time on Chaos, I wrote the Pandeima-Ayra Rule of Two for around 18 months, until Savan eventually died. There isn't really much to tell you about this time, as I very inactive in 2014 on Chaos and nothing much was achieved that is worth the mention or explanation. But I wouldn't say it was a complete waste of time. Darth Ayra became a Sith Lord sometime in 2014 (I can't remember exactly when) and Darth Pandeima (the Sith title of Circe Savan) can be held as the Sith Lord that begun the Order of the Sith Lords in the Chaos timeline.

This brings me to why I am creating this thread. After two and a half years, I can say with a degree of certainty that the Rule of Two, the Order of the Sith Lords and the story revolving it all is in full swing. As you can see from before, nothing has gone exactly to plan and I won't lie, out of character, it became difficult and at times tedious to continue during the first incarnation of the concept, but I have found a brilliant writer to join me in the pursuit of the Rule of Two.

[member="Chris Gelderd"] is the writer behind [member="Connor Harrison"], who is probably the character he is most well known for. The first four chapters that he and I have written together since January has been extremely enjoyable for me to participate in. When I got in contact with Chris, after he answered my plea, I explained that I wanted the threads that we would write together would tie into a book. So, for every thread that centered around what our characters would do together, our schemes and plans would contribute to a chapter in the book.

Four chapters in, I present to you...

Almost two months in this project, I wanted to know if the community has been reading our threads? What do you think of [member="Darth Ayra"] and [member="Joon"]? What do you think of the book so far? And would you like to be involved in the project as well? Thanks in advance and I look forward to your responses.

Bloody ell good work! I have written books before (Im never showing them because it was made back when I was a Minecraft freak. HAHA!). And to say that this is good is an understatement... ITS ABSOLUTELY FANFLIPPIN TASTIC! Of course I only skimmed your work because I am supposed to be doing the dishes, but I have to admit you spent near three years on this. Coodos to you! Like seriously, I have no patience. So if I did this I would die probably. Keep up the EXCELLENT work! [member="Vazela"]

A good read indeed, I will have to keep an eye on developments for pure entertainment and maybe tips on how to write better.

Personally, I love the Rule of Two and a huge Darth Bane fan. I would love to see it, but on RP it is rather hard since EVERYONE and their grandmother wants a lightsaber and to be a Sith. (I am no exception) So having two Sith is kind of hard so I applaud you for trying it. I am hoping to do the same with the Empire, but on a different scale. Their purpose, like Bane, is to destroy the 'false Sith' as they view them and lay waste to the Galaxy until only the True Sith stand. Bit more to it, but it is the essance of Bane's vision that I am trying to build on.

Not about me, back to you. Seriously, your writing has always been a joy to read so I look forward to reading more and MAAAAYBE locking blades one day.

It seems like it would be kind of hard to make the Sith Order with just the Rule of Two...but surely not impossible. If you played Knights of the Old Republic, you would know many times you have fought enemies with the rank of master. (I.E. on Dxun in Kotor II there is a SIth Master, maybe not a Lord, but a Master regardless.) This rule could be used to help let writers get the rankings they deserve without having to worry about whos Sith Lord ruler Bobby Joe and what not.

There are tons of rankings within the Imperial Galactic Empire as well that resulted in a certain master rank. They were given enough power to kill Jedi, and the Empire's enemies, but not enough to overrule the Sith Lord himself. Revan did this, Malak did this, Bane did not that I know of, and Palapatine did this as well.

With Revan being the first person to suggest this concept, look into his days of rule, take and choose what best fits your idea, as well as look at the Galactic Empire's own use of Force Users.

A couple of things.

Firstly, I'm a little annoyed at how Arya characterized Asemir. How dare she call him a liar! :p

Secondly, I really dislike your avatar. It is creepy. :p

That said, I've enjoyed the threads so far. They have been fun to read and it's interesting to see Joon and Arya interact. Looking forward to more!

[member=Vazela] A pleasure to be involved and craft something that's taking time to think and really work out how to deal with someone I made not knowing she would ever be a part of this. It's testing as a writer and challenging as a character to develop her this way and certainly getting to a point where she's about to crack.

Thank you all for the feedback via Vazela/Ayra too - means a lot to be part of something others can enjoy. I hope to continue a worthy subject and fellow writer. :)

Oh, and [member="Asemir Lor'kora"] - don't lie to me again. *said in manipulated, monotone voice* :p

[member="Asemir Lor'kora"] The way it's going she may...may just feel the need to reach out to him before she falls over the edge of insanity.
